Does this actually qualify as a newsworthy item???.....SHU is having a very good season and exceeding (my own) expectations on getting one of the at-large bids from the Big East vs schools like GTown that also appear to be on the bubble right now.

If we reported every scuffle during an intramural game between students, basketball players and football players at the Livingston Gym back in the day, there would be something to write at least 4-5 times a year.

News is dropping to all-time lows at this point.... the student newspaper probably created an unnecessary distraction....sign of the times I guess, no one remembers Thomas because he's sitting out this year, but because he's on the roster, it's going to get spread around as news tied to the program. Call me skeptical on this item, if it was an active player on the roster, then all systems go to report the item...not in this case IMO.....

Ref'd 4 years at Livingston Gym. I was never punched. Only once was there a game where a fight broke out. It wasn't my fault either :basketball:. I'll never forget my 1st game was a under 6' league. I made a goaltending call!

I have to respectfully disagree with Hawk as well. If I'm reading this correctly, he was not involved in the game, but was upset at an intermural referee's call and assaulted and choked him. This is vastly different than camper is flaring between a couple of participants in the game. It is newsworthy.
