I remember the last bourbon bowl. Bobby boucher showed up at halftime and opened up a can of whoop ***.
Great idea, I love it. They have a number of bowl games way up north where the weather is far worse and colder than Lexington at this time of year so, why not? The Bourbon Bowl has a great sound to it. I know it will never happen but sure would be interesting and a big boom to the Lexington area.
Louisville could sponsor the "Godfathers Gentleman's Club Bowl" at Papa Johns.

It does but it doesn't seem UK wants the stadium used unless it is a UK game. UK could make some good money if they let some of the concert stadium shows play there. In the 38 years I have lived in Lexington I can't remember anything but a UK game happening at the stadium.
Because Jim Beam is terrible. Make it the Bourbon Trail Bowl and sell the state's whole package.
It's strange. I was working in Shreveport La a few years ago. Across the office was the Independence Bowl stadium. It's a stadium designated just for that event. That tells me they're making a lot of money.
They've always been worried about the surface because it was always grass. Same reason they haven't hosted state high school championships in Commonwealth.
That's changed now with the new playing surface, and I've heard that they will look into having state championships there as well.

Jim beam makes a lot of really good products- Booker's and Knob Creek being two. But JB is the biggest brand in bourbon by a large margin.
Or Woodford Reserve which already has a room in Commonwealth.
Not enough bottles of Pappy to do that. Plus that would make ticket prices so high that you could probably go to the CFP title game, the Superbowl, and the Final Four.
