For the life of me I don't see why anybody would want to hate on Tim Tebow. I have my own reasons that I won't get into on this board. People see a guy who seemingly is trying his best to the be the best and stand for something and these ******** do anything to tear him down. It's unbelievable.

Annoying? Definitely.

There are obviously people that enjoy his show, since he is successful and has longevity in the business. But those people are stupid.

but the media has gone a bit overboard on him, not that he can help it. Tebow is to the WWL as Obama is to all major news outlets.

Ah, he called Tebow "Straight Guoda". Isn't that clever of him.

(in case you couldn't tell, that was sarcasm)

he is too cocky to have clearly never suited up. i don't mind succesful players being as opinionated as he is, because they have earned the right to be. i think jim rome is more of an angry 5'6.5" white guy that says things to simply get ratings. i dont know if i'll ever find a better example:

Rome gained notoriety for an incident in his ESPN2 show Talk2 in 1994 when he repeatedly called NFL quarterback Jim Everett "Chris" (after Chris Evert, the female tennis player), from the argument that Everett shied away from getting hit. Appearing as a guest on the show, Everett warned Rome about repeating the insult and then challenged Rome to do so. When Rome did, Everett overturned the table between them and shoved Rome to the floor while still on the air.

Unable to think for themselves. Just latch on to something Rome says and call it gospel. I don't listen to much talk radio so I haven't heard Rome in years, but since I did hear him years ago, I've probably heard his whole schtick.

His tv show sucks and he's definitely a pompous *******, but his radio show is most certainly funny and very entertaining. One of the tops in the business for a reason, as others have stated. He repeats himself to be funny. The sounds bites are also damn funny. He's also a good interviewer. Cowherd on the other hand says the same damn thing over and over and over and over and over, just in a different way, which is waaaay more annoying. Cowherd can be funny, too, but his prologue is damn near unlistenable.

Dan Patrick is the king of sports talk radio, hands down. Rome is up there with him though.

I'm not a "clone," but he's usually funny. Especially when talks about "softball guy" and other kind of "guys." Don't really care for his TV show though.

while living in Houston and he called out Jim Everett Qback Oilers calling him Crissy....Everett told him to stop calling him that in an interview and when Rome kept on Jim jumped over the interview table and whipped his butt. Only bad thing about it was Everette appologized the next day...maybe he was a Crissy....

Rome has his moments and can be funny...most of the time he's a dipshit. I'm glad our local affiliate dropped his ***.

Rome is Burning in garbage, in large part because of the panel that usually sits in with him on the forum.

On his radio show, he is a solid interviewer and gets all types of different personalities to come on the air with him. And some of his takes on things, both sports and non-sports related, are downright hilarious.

I Can't believe all the hate on this board for Rome.....I remember back in the 90s, I used to hate the guy so much, that any time sports talk came up, I would bring his name up just to state how much I hated him.... now, as he says, give the show 2 weeks, and then make your opinion.....I guess I did when I moved back to Jackson after school, and now, I cant wait to listen to his show while im on the road.... whoever above said it right....so much hate for rome on this board, yet its seems every freakin post on this board is Romesque......how ironic.... IF you like good humor and sarcasm, you will like Rome's show
