If we had made one play in the 10th inning to end the game this post wouldn’t be needed. Still can’t believe that play wasn’t made. I’d run Cupp out to 2nd and try him for 1 whole weekend.
Based on rumors I’ve seen posted, I don’t think that’s possible. It wasn’t a routine play anyway, but it was a play that could have been made. Relief pitching was a much bigger problem Saturday than that one play.
What are you even talking about? I love Steve. We are buds. Someone told me he put it out there but I’ve seen that imagine shared everywhere on Friday night. Just a little premature IMO hence why I said the word jinx.
Up 7-3 with six outs to go and not getting the job done was the biggest problem.
J Long’s antics didn’t cause the loss, but made it that much more emotional and dramatic for both sides.
I told friends I had a bad feeling because it was all over the place. On here, podcasts, the ESPN crew talked about it. It just felt inevitable. After Friday I thought, okay that’s just me being a State fan, after the 8th inning Saturday doubt crept back in.
