Buck is OK, I guess. Not his Dad, though.

McCarver looks like he is getting up there in age too- I wonder how much longer he can do it. Maybe wishfull thinking?

Also, I wish they would get Bob Uecker. I think he used to do the World Series some. He's entertaining, and while he sucked as a player, he knows what he's talking about. He also had the best HOF speech ever. "I know this may come across as sour grapes, but I think I should have gotten in as a player".

Joe Buck is one of the best there is and his call of the game with Tim McCarver is about all that can keep me in a baseball game.

Also like him as one of the best for the NFL.

McCarver brings up stuff over and over that happened 3 innings ago that means absolutely nothing now and I really don't know what is about Joe Buck but he really gets on my nerves.

....that Joe Buck's network always assigns him to do the most premier games. They've only got, what...millions of dollars riding on the quality of their broadcasts.

I am not a baseball fan at all. Sometimes, I'll watch the World Series. Sometimes, I'll watch a State game, particularly late in the season or post season. But that's it.

Baseball fans are going to watch the World Series regardless. So yeah, maybe Joe Buck is there to appeal to people who are casual fans or less.

He's certainly not there for his broadcast ability.

That's why he explains what happened innings ago. The old timers doze off frequently, and don't know how to use their VCRs. and replays confuse them, they keep thinking Chipper's hit 5 home runs to the same spot that day.</p>
