Announced via Twitter he is leaving OSU and will choose a new school in the coming weeks.
Coaches didn't like that he was playing minor league baseball and wanted him to focus on football only.Interesting, I was just thinking about transfers, in particular, Russle Wilson. Did Wilson leave NC State because he didn't get the starting job, or was it a matter of picking a better team?
If I recall it was reported here that our coaches didn’t like the cut of his sleeves in their spring game and broke off all contact
Why is he transferring? Is the reason different from Russel Wilson's transfer?
Actually has 2 years. I was wrong about this in an earlier thread. He came in, in 2015 and took a RS. I guess he graduated in 3 years if he is a grad transfer. How's that work? Would he need to do 2 years of Grad school then?He has one year of eligibility remaining, right? I can't see him going anywhere but a school where he is almost guaranteed to start.
I believe he's a redshirt junior, so he has two years of eligibility left.He has one year of eligibility remaining, right? I can't see him going anywhere but a school where he is almost guaranteed to start.
Great programs. Decent coaches with something to prove. God-awful football weather, though.Agree, most of the talk has Florida and LSU as the leaders.

If I remember correctly he was kinda pushed out because NCS had some hot shot 5 star coming in (don't remember his name). To be fair RW stats were pretty average while at NCS.Interesting, I was just thinking about transfers, in particular, Russle Wilson. If that’s true.... welcome him with open arms, this offense needs a dynamic playmaker at the qb position
Doubt that will change if Burrow goes there.Joe will go to Florida. Mullen runs the same offense as Meyer and their offense has been putrid since Meyer left.
Frost couldn't and I think wouldn't guarantee him anything. IMO, if he's smart he'll find a fairly competitive team who runs a pro-style offense to enhance his chances at playing at the next level. Wyoming needs a new QB and Bohl certainly has a better recent record than Urban at turning out NFL QBs. Wyoming could afford to guarantee him the starting spot.So if you were Frost you would guarantee him the starting spot? Because I don't think he leaves as backup at Ohio St to get in a competition at Nebraska.
Even if the school Burrow transfers will announce he has to fight for the job, he's going to go to a school that has guaranteed him the starting job for the next two years. Had he wanted to battle for a starting job, he would be doing it in Columbus.
Didn't it end up being that Wilson stopped playing minor league baseball once he got to Wisconsin?Coaches didn't like that he was playing minor league baseball and wanted him to focus on football only.

Maybe he thought that Meyer was going to start Haskins no matter what...
Is that what Burrow has stated- immediate starter or bye?
I am not sure about that, maybe!Didn't it end up being that Wilson stopped playing minor league baseball once he got to Wisconsin?
I think you're wrong on this. Whether it's logical or not, sometimes a guy just wants a change of scenery. If you already know you lost the starting job at the school you're at, it doesn't hurt to transfer even if it's just as unlikely you will start at the new school. So if you were Frost you would guarantee him the starting spot? So, a guy who can't win the starting job over a RS Soph at OSU is suddenly going to be the savior at NU?
