Bo Jackson made the list too.. Did I miss something? He must have signed free agent after playing baseball out of college..

A few years later, Al Davis chose to take him with a draft pick even though I don't believe he'd entered the draft. I can't remember the whole story, but it was something like that. That's why he was a low draft pick. He had been playing baseball for a few years and no one was going to randomly take a guy who wasn't even necessarily going to play.

he was drafted with the top pick in the 86 draft by the Bucs. When he didn't sign with them before the 87 draft, the Bucs rights to him were forfeited. Then the Raiders took him in the 7th round.

To add to that story, the reason he didn't sign with Tampa Bay is because Bo felt they lied to him. They wanted to fly him down for a visit after the football season was over. Bo didn't want to go because he was afraid accepting the trip would affect his remaining eligibility for his senior year. The Bucs assured him they had checked with the NCAA and everything would be fine. Well, Bo made the trip and got in trouble with the NCAA. I believe he had to sit out the rest of his senior year being ineligible for baseball and track (his favorite sport).
