Does he stay at UMiss? Follow Kiffin? Would he be an interesting name to watch for Lebby to bring in as an OC?

Agree, but he doesn't think he needs one, unless I'm mistaken.
He has a passing game coordinator and assistant HC.. which is probably more accurate to what he needs. Since, I am a layman and have never even been a college locker room, I wouldn't really know but adding my two cents worth.

if we don’t pick him up. I hope he takes a job like UAB.
I think I'd prefer we don't pick him up regardless. I would love to see him take a coordinator position under a really good offensive coach. He's somebody we have an in with and would like to see him developing somewhere with a known entity. Him being head coach at a smaller school would be good to see also, but just with him never having had play calling experience, I'd like to see him take a role in that.

Exactly. That’s my thinking with UAB.

I’m personally satisfied with the number of coordinators on our staff who are career special teams coaches that have failed spectacularly at everything else to not exceed the current quota of 1. Perhaps its just me.

I belive this is dated. Since it was written, Arnett got the munchies and went to Wendy's. Judge was promoted to QB coach.

ETA - Ole Miss knows they love them some Lukes.
It is, that was when he first started there and was till getting paid by the Giants. Also have heard that Lane was getting quite paranoid as he left, like Hitler end of WW2, perhaps he decided to stay with the players he was developing (Chambliss) instead of attach his wagon to a megalomaniac who is going to epically implode at LSU at some point? Just my thoughts.

Am I the only one not getting the infatuation with this guy?
I'm not infatuated. I didn't get the calls for him to be head guy in college. We saw how well that's working for his old boss. But Joe did a good job with the ole miss qbs. He's been on some good staffs in pros and now college again. Wouldn't mind having the guy on staff and build his resume

Again , If Judge was any good at all, he would be calling plays and Ole Miss would be telling Charlie Weiss Jr to stay his rear end in Baton Rouge .

I can’t wait to hear Golding talking about playing “complementary football” while bringing a G5 OC to run the “power spread.”

I think it's that he was thought of highly enough to be made a head coach in the NFL plus has a state connection. Of course, he was thought highly of because of Bellicek, and that star has arguably lost some of its luster. But still, he's coached for Bellicek and Kiffin and was a former QB. And he's still young. Probably 44 or 45. So he's definitely somebody that could make it back to head coach if he's successful as a coordinator somewhere.

I never heard of Judge until Cohen tried to hire him in ‘20. Fortunately the Giants saved us. Talk about an epic flame out. I suspect no one would care about him if he was on, say, USM’s staff.

"Coach Judge is like a second father figure," Chambliss said about Judge following the Rebels' win over Florida. "Really a genuine guy, just a great coach as well. He's always just so attentive to everything, every detail and he helps us out as quarterbacks. He's always one step ahead of us too. If one play goes a different way than we think then he's already on it. He just does a great job having our mindsets ready for whatever could happen because in football anything can happen. I'm glad that I met a guy like him because he's really done a great job influencing me and just bettering me as a human being."
