to have moved their meeting to vote on the alleged invitation to join the SEC to Monday, 8-15-11, in order to avoid having to answer questions publicly in a legislative hearing before a vote.

The plot is getting seriously thick.

I hope the tea sips end up with a tasty **** sandwich.

Am I the only one who would prefer Clemson to Florida St? Seems like Clemson is sort of a South Carolina version of Mississippi State and we have a little history (baseball comes to mind) with them.

..in their obssessive quest to provide both sides of the story, they end up writing a bunch of crap that doesn't make sense:

For instance, Loftin sent out a letter that claims by remaining a member of the Big 12, Texas A&M will be able to more than double its financial return to the levels being offered by other conferences.

If that's the case, then why the hell are you even considering risking the financial benefits by defecting to the SEC? Just because Texas has it's own TV network & Texas A&M is jealous? I don't want to hear both sides of the story. I just want the facts.

The one funny takeway is that the Big 12 wil replace Texas A&M with Houston. That's a good one.

but the one school I'd love to see come back to the SEC is Georgia Tech. But that's just me.<div>

Several Texas A & M and FSU sites are saying that the 14th team looks to be Virginia Tech.

But at this point the information is just swirling. They probably got that idea from reading this site!

Read somewhere that FSU is 2nd in the nation in tv ratings over the last 20 or so years, so their national appeal and being an elite team for so long mitigates the fact that the SEC has the Florida tv market already. Adding FSU would probably increase ratings much more than Clemson or Va Tech.<div>
</div><div>Ronny, what do you think would be so terrible about adding FSU? You not have an affinity for their jersey wearing guido fanbase?</div>

FSU really does nothing for TV revenue. </p>
FSUhas a huge national following and would give the SEC complete dominance of the Floridamarket instead of sharing it with the ACC. FSU is theone school in a state the SEC already has a presence in that it would make sense to add.
