Gotta give credit to Finebaum on that Cohen interview....asked the tough questions with persistence and Cohen simply faded with non-answers

Give credit to Cohen for calling Paul on his double standard toward Saban and Alabama. What do you expect Cohen to say? That he’s looking for Joe’s replacement?

If he walks away I will give him a big pat on the back and tell him nice try. It's a win win.....he gets to go back home and Cohen gets another try at making a good selection.

How about answering the questions honestly instead of acting like he doesn't know anything about what might be going on. We don't give a 17 about how enthusiastic Moorhead is at practice. If that's good enough for you good luck. We ain't talkin' about Saban and Alabama

. Said he would have an easier time building a winner at Rutgers because it is hard to recruit to MSU and he has a recruiting footprint up there and it is a bigger media market because NewYork doesn’t have any major Football programs.
He is full of ****. New York has two major football programs right next door to Rutgers. Not to mention they’re in the same division as Penn St, Ohio St, Michigan & Michigan St.

Cohen doesn’t have much control when it comes to Rutgers trying to take Joe (if that’s the case). He doesn’t even necessarily have to be involved in the conversation. Cohen already said after Mullen left that they are always looking for their next hire, just in case. I’m not sure what more you expected him to say.

Exactly. That Cohen interview was cringe worthy. He is the big guy. This, "Aw shucks, we're just preparing for the game tomorrow" stuff is disingenuous.

This whole narrative that Finebaum is stirring **** and asking questions that he wouldn't ask of Saban is nonsense. This is a story. It was published and sourced by the largest newspaper in New Jersey. It's his job to ask those questions, and if there was a big report on al.com with sources that Saban was interested in another opportunity, he would be asking him tough questions about it, too.

Agree, it’s not all about population, it’s about market share of that population. RU doesn’t have much of it.

Yeah pat...nothing like our situation here. We don't really have any major programs in our vicinity. And that gauntlet in the B1G is much stronger than Alabama Auburn and LSU. And of course I doubt they can pull 3 and 4 star players like you can here. Syracuse probly gets all them. Did anyone know that's the birthplace of college football ??

Best scenario would be if he could magically take some coaching pills and get our program headed in the right direction and stay. I feel like if we continue to flounder and he stays we are in a bad way or if he leaves or is let go we are in a bad way. If he leaves our QB situation is going to be a mess because we could easily lose Schrader who is our future at the position at the moment with pretty much nothing else to go with him next year.

i think you’d be guaranteed to lose Shrader, maybe not to Rutgers, but to someone.

Saban or Byrne wouldn’t be doing an interview on Finebaum.
