2 mid majors in our region for the first 2 rounds would be perfect. Butler annoys the hell out of me, and I think BYU is overrated.

I wish we could play close to home. New Orleans, Jacksonville, and Oklahoma City seem to be the closest cites.

His bracket has 13 seeds as the bottom 2 seeds getting in. That concerns me because it seems like lately 12 seeds have been the last at large seeds. When the occasional conference tourney upset happens, that cut line will probably move up about 4 spots or so.

There aren't too many teams (that will be high seeds) in close proximity to New Orleans to help fill the stands. A previous New Orleans regional and its terrible attendance prompted the pod system they use now.

UCONN i think right now has to be a 12 seed ahead of the final 4 in due to bracket matchup problems with other teams. So dependent upon how the higher teams in the BCS conferences with multiple bids do, a team like us that may end up having a better resume than UCONN may be put behind them based on bracket matchups within their conference that can't happen.

No way we would get so lucky. You are right though, will be interesting to see who they send to New Orleans. Texas, Texas A&M, Memphis, and us are the closest teams that will/have a chance to make it. UT, Vandy (who does not travel) and UF I guess could also be candidates.

They need the attendance in New Orleans. A pod is going to have two combination of the following seeds:

1-16-8-9
2-15-7-10
3-14-6-11
4-13-5-12

I fully expect Jackson State to avoid the play in game and get seeded in New Orleans against Kentucky.
You could see Oklahoma State in the 8-9 game

The other pod could be a 4-13-5-12 with us or Ole Miss as the 12/13 or Tennessee or Vandy as a 4/5.

I do not care where we play. If we end up as a 12 seed, I want to be in the bracket where the 1 is Purdue, the 2 is New Mexico, the 3 is Xavier, the 4 is Butler and the 5 is BYU. Give me that bracket and you can send me to wherever.
