Aka..Terry SHEAno.The constant is Schiano.
Maybe he is an imposter? His defense might actually be worse than last year's. How is this possible? Players are out of place, bad technique, can't shed blocks.
He's been outcoached 2 weeks in a row.
I thought his system was supposed to be simple.
Agreed. I pointed that out in the game thread. As soon as walker enters the game it has a noticeable effect. Key tackles and a pick.Actually, in the BC game there was a huge improvement as soon as they changed LBs. All of a sudden in the 2nd half he finally benched #41 Allison (I don’t think he played another snap the rest of the game), and we limited BC to just 1 TD (8 points), the 78-yard 1-play breakdown. We actually stopped them every other drive in the second half.
#16 and #2 played, I’m not sure if either of them played alongside Allison before bc I was so focused on him bc of bewilderment. But the D noticeably improved stopping the run, containing the QB, and defending WRs over the middle once the LB switch was made. It gives small hope for some future games if we can stop the turnovers on O and they don’t put #41 back in.
Thank you. Moses Walker (#2) came in and completely changed things and made seversl great plays including that last last takeaway. At least I saw a coach making changes that worked. In the end it was the offense who lost this game even with that reckless last td pass and the stupid 2 pass rusher prevent.Actually, in the BC game there was a huge improvement as soon as they changed LBs. Is it fault on talent? He other after the portal closed.Re #41 there are two possibilities:
1 Johansen is a bad judge of talent.
2 Pre-season, when little hitting and flying around and barking can impress, led to the decision to use him.
I'm hoping it's 2 as that can be remedied once actual play is seen. Arguably #41 was as large a part in umass and BC first half success as anyone. Things radically changed when he was out.
Now Morris was only marignally better and should not be playing.
Walker had a carrer game and earned time. BUT McClary and Archie need to be in there just to see if increased atghlticism could get in the way of someone and not create huge holes.
Same for this guy who played at Drake.mind boggling transfers in my opinion.
if a guy from Drake could play, Iowa or Iowa State would've found them already
#16 is Jesse Ofurie. He's not a linebacker.Actually, in the BC game there was a huge improvement as soon as they changed LBs. Does this surprise anyone ? Coordinators are willing puppets who come here for the pay raise and Schiano is a control freak like no other.Mike Broadbent said on the youtube that this D is a Schiano scheme. Nothing they did week one was what J did at ND. he should post here
That's why he's my profile picture. NEVER again.Same for this guy who played at Drake.
