All I can hear while watching this is my father beside me in the stands angrily saying (more loudly than he should) “He’s carrying the ball like a damn loaf of bread!”
Along with nearly everyone else there.

Yep, he carried that ball like that all the way down the field, I would have been screamed at but to be fair, I couldn't have not pulled it off as I would have fumbled it every play. He used it as a decoy and would pitch at any point and really rarely fumbled considering the way he carried it.

The bone is as dead as the pure air raid…. but damn it was fun to watch it when it was legit, unlike the pure air raid.

There is not enough Bond, McDole, Michael Haddix, George Wonsley, Donald Ray King, Al Ricky Edwards, Glenn Young, Jerry Price footage on the interwebs.

And certainly not enough on the forward wall of Harris, Bell, Hull, Miketinas, and Grace.

That offense was a complement to that amazing Bulldog Blitz D. The most exciting offense we ever put on Scott Field.

Reminds me of a joke about Wayne Madkin should have been an evangelist because he could make so many stand up and holler "Jesus Christ Madkin" after a play .

First Miss St game I ever went to was in Baton Rouge during the John Bond era. I was maybe 12 or 13, and State beat up on LSU's Dalton-James Gang.
