yesterday. Made an unannounced visit to talk with a student group.

I would guess Dr. Keenum has worked to mend fences. Perhaps State can overcome one of the worst PR blunders ever made.

if Peepin Crooms is going to make me laugh out loud for the rest of my life. It honestly hasn't gotten any less funny to me. I'm simple minded, I suppose...

Pat McMahon, in a brilliant move, decided not to extend Grisham's son a preferred walk-on invitation because he thought it would show favoritism to a rich alum. In response, he walked-on at UVA and John subsequently sold his skybox at DNF and contributed a ton of money to help fund UVA's baseball facility expansion.

Grisham's son played baseball, and all he wanted to do was WALK-ON the baseball team. Now, he did not demand playing time, or want any scholarship money, he just wanted to be on the baseball team. If he never played an inning, I don't think it would have mattered.

Anyway, McMahon and Raffo wouldn't let him do it because they thought it would be showing "favoritism", and then Grisham goes to Virginia and plays baseball for them. John then proceeds to give Virginia a boat load of money, builds Virginia a brand new baseball stadium or upgrades it, I can't remember, and is not seen in the LFL for years.

I know some people ***** about legacies being on the team like Joe Iupe on the basketball team, but the fact of the matter is there is some value in letting them on the team, and pretty much every school does it. Fact is, it would be a WHOLE lot easier to renovate Dudy-Noble with Grisham's money.

And actually made the team as a walk-on, and even made a couple of starts at MSU. He played under Polk II. He transferred to Memphis for more playing time, not because he got cut.

Ben wasn't a bad player at all, and he probably should have played more than what he did.

After he transferred to Memphis, he did indeed start for them, and he also pitched for them as well. He was a third baseman, outfielder, and pitcher.

You can trace 20 years of administrative stupidity right back to Larry <17>n' Templeton.

screwed up a lot of stuff, but i'm not so sure you can blame the decision of not letting someone walk on to the baseball team on him??

That **** is funny every-day, all-day. I could be 80 years old with a 2,000,000 post count and still think that is funny. It's like somebody farting in church. I would laugh no matter what age. Always funny.

~ The Big One ~

It was a hot Sunday mornin'
Middle of July
The choir was a singin'
'Bout the sweet by and by

Everybody was a swayin'
And sweatin' in the heat
We all bowed our heads down
As the preacher took his seat

My sister and my brother
Stood next to my mother
In the quiet at the close of the verse
That's when daddy cut the big one
At the Horn Lake Mississippi
Missionary Baptist Church

My sister rolled her eyes back
My brother bit his lip
My cousin just behind us
Whispered, "Hey, who let it rip?"

I stuck my face in my shirtsleeve
Stared down at my shoes
Lord, you could hear a pin drop
As we stood there in the pew
Heads were turnin', eyes were burnin'

Momma stuck her nose in her purse
After daddy cut the big one
At the Horn Lake Mississippi
Missionary Baptist Church

He cut the big one
It was a stinker
Then he broke the silence
With a snicker
And us kids started laughin'
'Til I thought we was all gonna burst
After daddy cut the big one
At the Horn Lake Mississippi
Missionary Baptist Church

He said, "The devil made me do it"
Momma said it was the liverwurst
And that's why daddy cut the big one
At the Horn Lake Mississippi
Missionary Baptist Church
