he will be 4-0 against TSUN and we should have beaten them a lot worse last year. I sure hope he is right i would love to go into their stadium and beat the crap out of them for the 4th straight year.

but I thinkBanks is far and away my favorite player. Just seems to do and say all the right things. I loved his interview with Aschoff. He's confident, believes in his team, and he really loves MSU. Puts in the work, plays great on the field, seems open to do whatever the team needs him to do, and he's made some very memorable moments in an MSU uniform. Underrated out of high school, but put in the work necessary to put himself in the discussion as one of the best CBs in college football.

because not only do I agree that we should have beaten them worse last year, but we should have beaten them worse in '09 as well. Hell, some might even argue that we took our foot off the gas in Oxford two years ago which kickstarted OM's comeback.

So the question is... Is Mullen's tendency to ease up on them a good thing or should we be scratching and clawing for every point we can get?

As long as we have more points at the end of the game i don't care how bad we beat them. Do I want to win by 30 every time? Absolutely but ill take the W by however many points every time. Do i think we let up in oxford two years ago? yes i think we did. We started subbing in guys that usually wouldn't get in until late in the 4th quarter. This year should and hopefully will be a blow out in oxford with us cheering at the end to "we just beat the hell out of you!"

My brother in-law played with him so I saw him play several games. Hell of an athlete but like most Miss High School coaches his placed him at QB because he was the best athlete on the team. He is a nice kid and I wish him well except for the last Sat in November.

I love when these small town kids make it big. Speaking of small town kids I've heard Quay is developing very very well. He will get a lot of play time this year. Although Maben makes Morton look like a metropolis.

Quay can be as good as he wants to be. I have watched him play ball since he was in the 7th grade. The only thing that can stop Quay from being an AA and 1st round draft pick is Quay. I hate we lost him. I will do with Quay and Calhoun like I did for Mike Davis when he play at MSU, pull for the players and hope the team loses.

we are right down the road from EW. Watched Banks play a TON and since EW has been slightly down since the storm he has come to more of our games. Talked to him in passing (i.e he likes to tell us coaches on our way the locker room @ halftime his thoughts) don't let his demeanor in his interviews fool you. This guy is a 17ing animal! He played more saftey in highscool than CB I remember watching them lose to Calhoun City in the playoffs in Calhoun city his senior year and he WAS and IS East Webster. His swagger is SUPER contagious! Our QB is JB's cousin JB always boosts Von up while walking out on the field! By far one of the best players MSU's had at that position.
