I thought it was pretty damn good. If Joaquin Phoenix doesn't win the Oscar, they need to do away with the award.
I have not seen it, only read about it, but wow what a cultural U turn, from the Joker to Downton Abbey which I did watch.
I saw it on Sunday. I was excited for it, and didn’t leave disappointed. Phoenix did a great job capturing Arthur’s descent into madness. Would love to see what he could do with the Joker character going forward, hopefully we get to see it.
Yeah, I think theyve said it's going to be a one off movie, but supposedly it's going to be an introduction into darker content from DC

Everything I read from Phoenix and the director is that it would be a one off too. These days though, any movie that geneterates this much interest and money usually has some follow up, so we’ll see. If this is all they do with it, I’m still satisfied.
The ending was great though, really made me think while walking out the theater.
Saw it yesterday! Has been a long time since I saw an actor get so into his character!! Oscar for sure!!
Problem is, I don’t see Joaquin doing a movie as joker with Batman. Let’s face it, more people would be interested in joker than Batman in the movie. If they were to try and pull it off, I would beg bale to come back. Joaquins sister is married to casey affleck, so there’s that connection. I just don’t want Ben to do it again he sucked
Honestly Bale's portrayal of Batman paled in comparison to Ledger's portrayal of The Joker.
Yeah, I read some interview from the director who said he wouldn’t have much interest in doing something with Batman.
The Dark Knight is still my favorite comic book movie, hell its one of my favorite movies period. Bale and Ledger were great. It’s a shame Ledger passed before we could see them continue together on the big screen.
Affleck was a terrible Batman, glad that is over with.
And this is why Mask of the Phantasm is the best "Batman" movie. Batman is THE star of that one.
I think the only person who will not see this movie is Jared Leto, because he is an embarrassment to the joker character
Good, he was awful. I hate when people want to try and change iconic characters. Did anyone really want to see the Joker rolling around in a lambo with a grill?
