And that he recruited soft kids....If a player is not giving 100% and he has quit on the team, 2 games into the season, pull his scholarship and send him home. If this is true, it's evident that Stoops has lost control on the team.
Why? He had teammates publicly quit in front of thousands. Not a big fan ragging his teammates publicly, should have said this to the team behind closed doors IMO
Doesn't just reflect poorly on the coaches but also the players.
What is Elam so mad about? He is showing more fight over a card game than the football game.
I was hoping to see the first half team that played against USM put four quarters on the field against Florida. Having visited during our game I came to respect what KY is trying to accomplish. I see your concern about players quitting on the coach and recall us hiring Ellis Johnson after our 12-2 season. The team lost faith is his coaching ability and that 12-2 team (most players returning) was quickly an 0-12 team. When a coach loses a team's confidence then it can be a disaster. Hope for the fans sake that Stoops learns how to coach on the same level that he's done as a recruiter. Talent is wonderful but without leadership even that talent can fail. Good luck the remainder of the season.Coach Stoops has failed miserably in convincing his team that HE is capable of fulfilling the hype he was selling to his players.
His in-game coaching has instilled DOUBT in the players. Once hope is gone, then the players will to work hard will soon follow. That's what we are seeing now.
By the players checking out only 2 games into the season, this tells me that this program is in even worse shape than the horrible performances on the field have shown.
SAD
The other guys may have told him "There is no 6 ft. sub coming."What is Elam so mad about? He is showing more fight over a card game than the football game.
But the reality is these are kids and they are demonstrating the same attitude as so called fans. The fans, just read the board, have quit the team. And these are mostly adults.
