I do have a daughter that went to UK, she's graduated and I have family members that were raped at college within the past couple of years. I know very well about how skewed the facts you present are, but then my family's experience is just anecdotal also. I have several family members who are in law enforcement who would take issue with you on your premise. The numbers of reported rape are not indicative of how many girls are raped and do not want to go through the second demeaning ordeal of our injustice system. That was very evident in the articles I presented so that you may get a broader glimpse into a world you do not reside.

I do try to remain balanced about this subject though and that is why I do not think Tubman was treated fairly.

You aren't balanced at all. Your naming calling demonstrates that. I give you a measurement of college rape and you claim it isn't fact & then you name several instances that while true, demonstrate nothing about the degree of the problem beyond those specific cases. Net, you come off as unhinged about the subject.

You keep acting like I'm denying college rape occurs because I'm asking for statistical data, not anecdotal, that more women are raped at colleges on a percentage basis than women of the same age group/demographics are in society as a whole. If you can't provide it, you got nothing beyond the fact that women unfortunately get raped. And you certainly have nothing that says women are worse off at colleges than anywhere else. Get off your high horse.

Just how are women raped at college demeaned more than those raped in society as a whole? Just how is the hard data I presented anymore skewed than any other rape data? You ought to be able to articulate it given you know how much more it is skewed. As for "my premise", I don't think you even have an idea what it is. You just want to use this forum to vent.

If Stoops and Eliot continue to use a 3 man defensive front, then long, quick perimeter defenders like Josh Allen will continue to be important pieces. Allen himself was hurt by missing his redshirt. Allen is said to be 235 pounds now. If he had redshirted, he would probably weigh 240-250 pounds. I disagree with you about Allen's 2016 role, because it seems obvious now that Ware, Laster, Bonner, and Walker will see a ton of playing time at the edge linebacker positions. However, Bonner's stabbing incident and Hatcher's departure have created an opportunity for Allen to see the field more than he would have. Eventually I think Allen may fill out and move up to defensive end, but not this year. That's too bad, because Eliot really could have used another pass rush end this year. By the time Allen is a senior, I think he will either be a starter or a significant player. This year will be a learning experience for him.

Or you can just not read the parts you aren't interested in. Yeah it's a choice. I happen to think the issues surrounding Tubman and why he was dismissed is very important and grown men shouldn't try to shoo that discussion away.

I understand your viewpoint but of all the threads that get "off topic" I think this one is more important and pertinent than most. Just for perspective you continue posting in this thread about something other than the thread topic yourself.

If you had read the material then you would know that most rapes goes unreported. That is why the numbers your looking at are skewed and the authorities know it. The women are demeaned by how they are treated when they report rape and that is why they don't. It is a hard and emotionally filled issue for a young and inexperienced coed to deal with.

I do understand if you have never been close to a case of rape you probably do not have a real good picture of what is happening. If I have offended you I am sorry for that but believe me Tubman was dismissed because of this problem and Kentucky students trying to make their campus safer. I think they missed with their decision but I think they were trying to do something that they felt made their home/campus safer for the young ladies who are for the most part living away from home for the first time. Please read the material or just research it for yourself. I can't change your mind but you could delve into this a bit more.

All that you say may be true. I don't necessarily agree with all of it but the reality is that Allen is currently running with the ones at SLB and behind him is Walker so it would appear he's in the drivers seat at this point. Of course all that could change due to circumstances but with the five you listed, (Ware, Allen, Laster, Walker, Bonner) we should have plenty of depth for the two OLB positions which will be a welcome change.

I think it interesting that people act like they know the facts of the Tubman case. Was someone here on the grand jury? Heck, they did not even hear from him, yet they returned a no true bill. No true bill. People who portray him as guilty of a crime are defaming him. I wish he would start suing the anonymous posters who suggest his guilt.

I think it was an elitist decision made to make the campus look safer regardless of the facts. Having some experience with law enforcement decisions on big college campuses and knowing how things go uncharged and unreported for PR reasons, I think this was a factor in UK's decision to boot Tubman.

CC I was under the impression his case was reviewed by a three member student review body and they ruled against letting him back on campus. Is that not the facts of his suspension?

When I read the procedural rules, I did not perceive that the panel consisted of three students, but rather university representatives. It has been about a year since I have reviewed the policies, however.

It is just an impossibility that the panel had as much information as the grand jury.

Add Bannerman and the recently committed '17 King to that list. And they'll be around for awhile. Gives UK unprecedented depth at the position.

I feel like I wasted 5-10 minutes of my life reading this thread.

To summarize: I like Josh Allen, wish he would have / could have redshirted but that ship has sailed. I'm not anointing him All-SEC, but I believe he will be a solid player for us.

As for Tubman, etc. - I'd like to use the barroom analogy and ask some of you to "take it outside".

You can say what you want , but this young man's dream and life were put on hold , and possibly ruined over a lie...you talk about the women, but what about this young man and the girl has no repercussions. Would you like that if he was your son?

Not only have you not been able to absorb the info I have provided for you, you cannot understand what I've said regarding Tubman throughout this conversation.
