Sorry guys, I said this made Paschal, arguably, the most highly RECRUITED player under Stoops. I was not focusing on his RATING.
I understand the ratings, but there is an alternate method that measures quality of class based upon the number and quality of offers, or better, they measure how highly recruited players are/were.
Young had like 7 offers, Drake Jackson, 10, C. J. Conrad 14, etc., and Rivals keeps the info publicly available for years . . . . I just looked up the 3 players I listed.
So I always go to the archives/player profiles and see who, and how many offered.
Yes, I realize that Landon Young's commitment as a high school frosh lowered his ultimate number of competing offers, and had he played it to the end, he could have had 40 or 50, but it is still a pretty good measure for a whole class, in that everyone has early commits, and some who commit only on NSD.
And I've always had a gut feeling that the number and quality of offers is a better measure than saying someone is a "5.9 4 star."
