I agree with you and very much hope that time frame is accurate for him. But, it still seems like a very fast and overly optimistic look at such a bad injury. And, I do get what you say about his age, rehab and advancements in surgery. He is a teenager and ACL repairs are so common now they have gotten good at it. It wouldn't surprise me at all if he is correct.
Where the BBN doctors at?!
Nah only watched that clipโฆ.who?!Did you watch and see who they hinted at might enter the portal
Haggarrity from MemphisNah only watched that clipโฆ.who?!
Thats a huge entry if it happens.Ohhh damn
That's a needle mover. 3-5 million and might be worth it.Thats a huge entry if it happens.
Rolling around on the ground for a few minutes is totally different than running back and forth on a basketball courtUnion County has a wrestler (Jordyn Raney, world team member) tear his ACL while competing for Team USA in Amman, Jordan in August 2024, had reconstructive surgery in Gainesville in September, and proceed to come back 4 months later (albeit not 100%) in January and pin his way to his 5th HS state title in February. These athletes get world class doctors and rehabbing compared to us peons lol.
Iโm like Missouri. Show me.Playing dukes advocate for a minute, but if they're betting on a quick recovery or a somewhat quick one, then why would cal let him walk so easily?
I really hope the kid does well and makes a full recovery, but I do wonder about the return of investment in this situation
I will admit the floor could be low, but the ceiling is very, very high. The likeability of this kid could be through the roof.Playing dukes advocate for a minute, but if they're betting on a quick recovery or a somewhat quick one, then why would cal let him walk so easily?

Well for starters, he didn't play for Cal (ifornia) or Cal (at Arkansas), that may be why Cal let him leave so easily, he never played for Cal.Playing dukes advocate for a minute, but if they're betting on a quick recovery or a somewhat quick one, then why would cal let him walk so easily?

I have forgotten what the story was. Why did he not follow to Fayetteville?Well for starters, he didn't play for Cal (ifornia) or Cal (at Arkansas), that may be why Cal let him leave so easily, he never played for Cal.
He just didn't feel like it was the right "fit". He actually gave Pope a chance to re-recruit him to UK. The kid and his dad really respected Pope (hence coming back to UK this time around), and rather than just open up his recruitment, they actually took time to listen to Pope / UK. Never considered Arkansas though after de-committing.I have forgotten what the story was. Why did he not follow to Fayetteville?
I'm sure a lot of us go back to Poythress. 9 years isn't that long ago. He had a couple months longer to recover, but wasn't himself that entire season after his surgery.I agree with you and very much hope that time frame is accurate for him. But, it still seems like a very fast and overly optimistic look at such a bad injury. And, I do get what you say about his age, rehab and advancements in surgery.
My son had a devastating knee injury( complete ACL tear:took another ligament to make a new ACL, and tore his meniscus in 4 places). He had surgery October 23, 2024. He's been cleared for full speed running and cutting. In 2 weeks the doctor expects him to be 100% ready for full contact in spring football practice. The surgeon you get and the type of rehab makes a BIG difference. Also being 17 years old doesn't hurt.I agree with you and very much hope that time frame is accurate for him. I'm not gonna judge anyone by how hard poythress played. He was the hardest to judge of anyone weve hadI'm sure a lot of us go back to Poythress. 9 years isn't that long ago. He had a couple months longer to recover, but wasn't himself that entire season after his surgery.
He'll likely never be the same player
Wow! I never even considered he could be.... even more dominant. Love the positivity, Muckinfush. He'll likely never be the same player
Big risk, big reward. Scared of money, don't make money.I will admit the floor could be low, but the ceiling is very, very high. The likeability of this kid could be through the roof.

Great to hear that about your son, very happy to hear he will be good to go. Hoping that's the same for JQ. That would be fantastic. My son had a devastating knee injury( complete ACL tear:took another ligament to make a new ACL, and tore his meniscus in 4 places). He had surgery October 23, 2024. Iโm laughing at the โDukeโs Advocateโ part. Thatโs great!Playing dukes advocate for a minute, but if they're betting on a quick recovery or a somewhat quick one, then why would cal let him walk so easily?

Heโs a stud.
Drop a bag and then drop another. Repeat until he canโt say no!
Based on ???????? What facts can you enlighten us with ? Opinions/********, and those sort of things. He'll likely never be the same player
That was a most likely true statement. He'll likely never be the same player
I remember Poythress, what some are forgetting is that everyone is different. Some people heal quicker than others. God did not make us all the same. When I was younger I healed a lot faster than other folks.I'm sure a lot of us go back to Poythress. 9 years isn't that long ago. He had a couple months longer to recover, but wasn't himself that entire season after his surgery.
