I would rather it be that than him injuring his knee again.
It would definitely be played as Pope rushing him back if he’s hurt.
But he does look to me as though he’s not fully healed or he’s playing cautiously because of the injury.
It sure could be, but the timing after his dad’s comments and his play the last two games is pretty shall we say “coincidental.”

IMHO him and his camp will not risk his future, with this team and coach they aren’t happy with whether his knee is legit sore or not. I truly think he will shut it down. That is Kentucky basketball the last 6 years.Somebody was saying he had some knee soreness or something of the sort, so maybe he isn’t shutting it down.Frustrating either way
I haven’t been posting ****, been a UK fan for 50 years and that is what I see. He seems like a great kid and everyone is frustrated how this season has gone so far. I’m having a hard time flipping over from a kid wanting to be here because of the name on that jersey vs what we have now in NIL to see how much money they can make.

Yeah for sure, it’s a lose lose situation for us and Pope. He decided to recruit an injured player though. Our entire hope for this team rested on a guard made of glass and a raw NBA prospect with a bad knee. Not smart with 22 million dollars.

Also, my username and posts I wasn’t able to transfer over so these are my first posts at all. I’m not a loud person so I am picky on the posts I do. That guy lumped me in with a lot of other posts I didn’t have anything to do with and just wanted him to know that.
I thought this season would carry over from last year somewhat even though we have different players. But when Bruce Pearl said that about UK having role players instead of studs, I didn’t want to believe that.

Obviously I have no inside info but I would think in addition to $ he came here because of what Amari did here last year and how he was utilized. Not sure if he has that skillset though. This year makes me realize how good Amari was in running the floor and passing.
I can believe he’s actually hurt if I compare his first game back with the last couple.
It was obvious something wasn't right with him the last couple games. I personally thought it was mental ( maybe his dad getting in his head based on those comments), but a problem with the knee also explains it. I'll believe the knee issue.... for now.
It was said he has some knee swelling. I don’t know if I buy it but I truly don’t care at this point. This season is over anyway. I’d almost rather he not play so we lose more games and the pressure to fire Pope is higher.
Only thing that annoys me about it is it does piss me off that he got seven figures to basically do nothing here. But it wasn’t my money. I bet the people that did donate won’t be as willing to do so again going forward though. There’s not one single player on this team that has earned what they’re being paid this year. There’s probably only even one guy that’s remotely come close to producing close to the level of money he’s getting.

The season is half over when is there supposed to be noticeable difference? I’d almost argue over the last few games they have regressed.
Leave him and Lowe on the bench. Better without them. The third highest rated tasted a lot of pine tonight, and we went from up 5 to up 23.

Tonight while he was standing outside the huddle he kept bending that right knee by kicking his right leg backwards. I don't know if that means anything, but I believe that it was the right knee that was operated on.
Are you going to have that attitude all year? I'm not saying it's totally unwarranted but...that's a pretty bad state for a fan to be in .
I'm totally down on Pope but I don't think anything could make me feel that way, unless he was a criminal off the court or something
I realize he came here for money and that his accelerated rehab is what he promised but he is still recovering from a major injury. I just wish he could play for us when he is healthy and with some perimeter players who can make shots and are willing passers.
It IS unwarranted. That is an ALLEGED Kentucky fan openly rooting for us to lose so he can continue to talk **** about the Coach. Our fanbase is being disgraced by trolls and quitters
I don't agree that him being very critical means he's not a fan. We all get frustrated, you yourself have been more down on Pope lately. There are a LOT of reasons to crap on this team.

He has an obligation to get his *** back out on the court asap and do his best for the team and the university. Im not saying he should be done, im just giving my prediction on how this will go.
That said, NIL doesnt stop players from stopping playing. Peterson from Kansas was highly speculated to shut it down. Just because players get NIL now, I dont think that stops players from opting out to prepare for the NBA, sadly.

We still need him. Glad to see Moreno do well but defensively Moreno does not offer what JQ does, offensively Moreno is ahead. Having both and playing them at the same time is what we need.
