BLUESTONE at Park View(South Hill) - Last year PV won 27-26. Barons finished 3-7 and missed playoffs

BUCKINGHAM at Appomattox - Last Year Appomattox won 14-7 in OT. Knights finished 10-2 after losing in 2nd Rd to Richlands, 35-20

CENTRAL LUNENBURG at Altavista - Last year Central won 41-34. Chargers finished 9-4, losing to Riverheads 42-0 in 3rd Rd.

Charles City at CUMBERLAND - Last year Cumberland won 22-8. Dukes finished 2-7 and missed playoffs

Essex at GOOCHLAND - Last year Essex won 29-21. Bulldogs finished 8-4 and lost to Greensville 22-19 in 2nd Rd.

Petersburg at NOTTOWAY - Last year Petersburg won 20-12. Cougars finished 2-8 and missed playoffs

PRINCE EDWARD at Windsor - Last year PE won 61-8 Eagles finished 3-7 and missed playoffs

RANDOLPH-HENRY at Gretna - Last year Gretna won 40-8. Statesmen finished 5-5 and missed playoffs.

I have never understood why Appomatox never plays Prince Edward. Both are 2A and PE is right beside us? Its the next county over. I dont remember ever playing them? Even back when we was in school (90s, 80s).

Even in Basketball? We only scrimmage them. Hmmmm....I need an A.D. job

Wish we had neighboring counties for rivalry games. Years ago the Charlotte/Appomattox game was a real smash mouth game.

Yep the PE game would be a good one.

Guess I'll never understand the scheduling/conference system.

Prince Edward though?

Prince Edward has to replace DelQuan Bigelow at RB, but they should be better this year overall. They've had good middle school and JV teams the last couple of years.
