Seems very ungrateful for the opportunity he got in the SEC @ tMSU (IF THAT IS WHAT HE IS REFERRING TO ).
Regardless if he disagrees with the way the team is/was run, I don't think he should ruin his PR before even getting a chance in the League. Ugly social media is becoming a bigger part of the character evaluation of NFL talent. I hope he isn't bitter about his time in Starkvegas.

I follow him and struggled to find context when he tweeted this a few days ago. There are a number of replies indicating playing time and touches, though. I dunno.
I wish him the best though. He helped immeasurably with our success and exposure this season and would hate it if he left with a sour taste.

The sour taste is all of his own doing. Why in the world should he have a sour taste in his mouth? Because we gave him a scholarship to play football?
Who does he really think he is going to "expose"? Nobody is dumb enough to write him a check, even if we did pay him a little bit.

I agree with you though, seems people only tweet when they're emotional about something and that's never or good idea, or they're tweeting where they are or what they are doing. I for one could not give a fat rat's *** that you're at El Chico's celebrating you Bday.

Not hard to figure out. Think about it. He announced he was going to place his name in the draft. It appears that he did not discuss this with the staff or Mullen in particular. If he did, he did not hear what he expected to hear; i.e. staff asking him to stay because he was crucial to the team, was a great player, would be a huge loss for team, etc.
What he probably was told was that he still had a lot of work to do, needed to improve in some areas (pass blocking?), etc. So, he decides on his own that the press he got would translate to automatic draft status in the higher draft rounds. Of course he never considered that NFL scouts might not be as impressed as some sports writers were.
And it goes back to what Coach66 referred to in that he never had any parenting influence or apparently anyone who could make him stop, listen, and trust. That's a recipe for disaster and you see it often. He may now have discovered that his draft potential is not nearly what he imagined it to be and may also be thinking he spoke too soon. To make it seem worse, once he said he was gone the coaching staff moved on and just said we wish you well. Pride may not let him back up and say that maybe he needs another year. So he may find himself stuck with his decision. Aeris Williams may be the main reason he is stuck as he and Shupert have a ton of potential between them.
So, he remembers how he was not used enough, irritated that the staff takes any credit for developing his talent, and decides he's been pushed aside.

Maybe he discussed it and didn't like the fact that he didn't get Mullen didn't get down on his knees and beg him to stay. Or that he only said something along the lines of "wish you the best" and didn't throw him a huge going away party.

I honestly feel sorry for him. If he ever draws a check of any size from the NFL I hope he has someone to give it to for safe keeping.
I agree with this thought. He is beloved by the fanbase so why ruin that? Nobody feels hard at him for leaving due to RBs having such a short shelf life anyway. I do certainly hope he makes a team or it will be a wasted decision. I certainly wish he would have come back but not if he was going to have that kind of attitude. And I wanted him to come back because it would have helped the MSU football team, I don't think a 5th year in our program was going to do much for his NFL stock one way or the other. If he hadn't learned to pass block in our system after 4 years I doubt one more year would have made a difference.
He has a long way to go before he plays at the next level. He's better than Brandon Bolden, but I don't see him going in, working hard, and appreciating the 0 carries he gets on special teams until his time comes. Like Boobie. Boobie is about to replace Fred Jackson as a mainstay in Buffalo, and it's only because he kept his head down and said "thank you" time and time again after being **** on in SF.
Guys with 1000x JRob's abilities get cut every year for the way they conduct themselves. If it happens to Josh, I just hope he doesn't regret not getting a degree and burning every bridge he has at the place that wanted to give him one.
ETA: Boobie also genuinely loves MSU, and MSU fans genuinely love him for it. He could get cut and retire tomorrow, and he's always got a home anywhere in Mississippi... And he had it just as hard as JRob (at least close) so I don't really need to hear how his life has made him hard. Josh is no longer a child, he's an adult, and he's acting like a tool.

Refresh my memory, wasn't it him that was tweeting junk about walking the streets the night before the LSU game, complaining about playing time, no respect etc? If I'm wrong (wouldn't be the first time in the last hour) set me straight........
Hell, I know plenty of 40 yr old's who still have a lot of growing up to do. He's a kid. Kids do dumb things

I agree with move on. I did commment because JRob said on twitter that people take what is said on twitter and instagram too seriously. This is at least the second negative thread that has been on JRob since he left the team. People say all kind of things on twitter, but some people look at twitter comments, as if what someone is saying is as if they were on a witness stand. These people, who get upset, don't have a clue of what the person meant or what the person was thinking when they posted. I hope this will be the last negative thread on Jrob.
I'd like to point out that much worse things have been said about our team and university on message boards and social media, during and after games that were not going well. And a great deal of those things that have been posted by our own fans have been very specific and direct in nature. So how is his extremely vague post any different. In fact, due to the very vague nature of the post, it does not reach the level of negativity that a great deal of our fan base spews on social media or message boards at times.
Very few, if any, on here have any concept of where he has been and how that shapes his viewpoint. As such, the only thing worse than him potentially saying negative things about his time at State is for a bunch of our fans to over analyze his posts and take him to task over anything they perceive as negative in nature. If you don't like what he says, don't cheer for him any more, getting on here and talking about how he needs to grow up only brings more attention to the tweet in addition to the negative attention of us bashing one of our own. On top of that, due to the limited nature of information in a tweet we have no idea exactly what he is talking about and why. Nothing good, not even a decent discussion, can come of these threads.

So Joliet Jake, that's a 2 way street. Nothing good can come out of these threads, we 100% can agree. Easiest way to stop these threads is for him to learn to contain the negative vibes and use them to get better, and in the mean time, to shut the **** up. I've never seen a negative thread in this forum concerning jrob that he didn't start w/ some social media spew from his own mouth.
walking in his shoes does not excuse comments, it only goes to explain them, maybe. as for taking twitter and instagram and whatever else he's put on the line seriuosly... heh... time will tell if he's a troll, because that's pretty much how that action is described.
