VT could probably draw 5,000 to watch grounds crew mow the field. More good recruits should pick VT over UVA. I can't figure out how UVA recruits good players with their sorry program. makes me wonder if they're recruiting honestly.

I am glad that Thornhill is moving up the depth chart quickly, never doubted that he wouldn't. I enjoyed watching him twice v Essex in football and once in b-ball. Look forward to seeing him make some pics this season.

I am one of those Virginia folks that pull for both big time VA programs (all Virginia and Carolina teams), but root mainly for UVA over the Hokies. No need to get into a debate about academics, but only one University was founded by the genius of Thomas Jefferson.

I have read much about both coaches, UVA's Mendenhall and VT's Fuente. I am impressed with both and expect and hope for big successes down the road for both programs. However, Mendenhall going back to finish the job with BYU and coach them in their bowl game was class act and made me an instant fan. Poor Memphis was just a stepping stone, I suppose (yes, I know that is often the way it's done by most coaches).

As for the 5,000 fans, UVA did not hold a Spring Game this year. That was a just a final practice.

He should have went to Tech . He likes UVA and he's doing good there . But 5,000 to show up for spring game that's embarrassing .
We agree! Well thats because Im a VT fan too.

I think his dad had ties at UVA somehow?

your a altavista man, what do you think the reasoning was that he picked UVA?
