Juco DB Ryan Williams (Co-Lin) sounds like he has some interest in us.

It appears that the staff is keeping him warm, because we haven't offered yet.

Kind of a weird situation. Dude was a 4-star coming out of H.S. and played as a true frosh at Auburn. Oddly, he is only 1-star on Scout now, with his best offer from Southern. Anyone got a scouting report on this guy? I am a little shocked we haven't offered him.

The only think I can think of is that this staff really likes what we have coming back next year and their chance to develop. Rosebowl is REALLY high on J.Love and J.Lewis at CB. Then you have Arceto Clark, Langston and Broomfield. Who knows.

that Darius Slay is a freak of nature at ICC, but we can't get him until after next year.

Personally, I'd like to have Ryan Williams for next year, and then sign Slay to replace Langston after that.

Corey Broomfield makes plays, and is really fast, so we need to make sure that we can find a spot for him as well.

Love and Lewis are going to have to adjust to college, and they should be RS. I think they can be good in time, but I think Rosebowl might be overrating their instant impact. I wonder if one of those two will end up on offense if we get Jay Hughes.

It might be good for us to put Broomfield at FS where he can use his speed, move Banks to SS, and then move Charles Mitchell to OLB, which will be more of a need in the next couple of years. That would allow us to put Langston and Williams at CB, and then have Williams and Slay at CB the next year.

I think Broomfield sticks at corner. Too small to play safety don't you think? Some are saying Hughes may wind up on offense too.

I think Banks needs to stay right where he is at. Centerfield. Dude is a ball hawk.

Don't forget, we will have a need at nickel safety next year too. I am hoping to see Whitley, Thames, Carr, or Wells there. R. Williams could certainly make an immediate impact there. Whatever it takes to keep Bonner off the field.

I am hoping Skinner steps up next year at LB. I have seen freshmen LB's do well all over the league in recent years, so I don't think his youth should be an excuse, especially after a year with Balis. I think we will hit the JUCO ranks hard for LB next year. Losing White/Wright will be tough after 2010, but I still doubt Mitchell moves down.

I had honestly not heard anyone saying anything about Hughes on offense, but if we don't have a spot for him in the secondary, I would certainly be fine with that.

Part of my problem is I don't know what JUCO LB's we are going to go after- yet. I do agree that we are probably going to get at least one next year. The other thing is, I wonder how Cameron Lawrence is going to be at LB. That's an unknown right now, to. Balis certainly needs to bulk him up.

In fact with the DB situation and some guys stepping up, I think it might be best to keep Thames at WR, unless he just can't catch jack. I think Wells will end up being a safety, and I think Carr will be a ATH on offense. My opinion, though.

I don't know what we're going to do with Bonner. He'll probably just take up a scholarship.
