Tennessee should be announced any time now. Pope never seemed to try to get in his recruitment. Baffling, yes. It is what it is.
Pope throwing more money at these players seemingly isn't working either... but too late on this guy IMO.
I was hoping we got involved early for him, can score and be a nice addition with Wilkins but we went all in on stokes.

Once again, for those in the back of the bus, everything that has gone wrong for Pope, is being used by coaches and agents to steer their recruits/ players, as far away from Pope as possible, because unlike some of our Hopium addicts on here, they know Pope is a dead man walking, and putting their brand on display during his final season, could be an avoidable detriment.
Also once again, this is why you don’t waste another season on a dumpster fire that’s been slow burning for a year and a half, in the NIL era!

Best case scenario is he goes to Michigan. UTjr is really going all out to buy their way out of the "Zero Final Fours" meme.

There is no shortage of corrupt individuals who will trade money for influence. Eli has already showed us how crooked he is.
Wilkerson from Georgia that went to Arkansas is a huge miss. Reports are UK could have signed him first but crapped the bed and he had the aggressiveness of Oweh and proved he could score in the SEC.
You're catching on. This is what I did once SEC play started last season. Only games I lost money on were Arkansas, Vandy #2, and one of the UF games (I bet hard on a -21.5 spread for UF the first time around). The rest of them, you either bet on Pope to play closer than he should against a garbage tier team (e.g. LSU) or you just bet on him to lose to anyone good.
I'm not gonna say I got rich from it, but I came out with (much) more than I put in.
Edit: Wanted to add that, unfortunately, it might not be as easy next year. Last year was a perfect storm of the team being bad in actuality, but the #9 preseason ranking elevated the team's floor for a long time. So you had situations where you'd get +300 or larger odds from betting on a 10 point UK loss to a decent team. Next year, the public won't be stupid enough to keep betting on Pope, and you're going to have situations where a good team will need to win by 30 for you to make any decent money. I'm still gonna make those bets though

I’m laughing so hard at this post…I’m literally crying from laughing. The only thing Pope has done worth a **** is beating the mighty Tennessee in the regular season by some miracle comeback. A kid literally spent one day with Pope and decided that Provo, Utah was better. Can you imagine? Provo, Utah???? This must be so embarrassing but equally maddening to see all these other teams running offseason circles around a once proud program. Your coach literally chased off a Kentucky kid who is sponsored by Nike…the kid chose an Adidas school. He hated Pope so much that he walked away from a bigger NIL and put his sponsor money on hold just to stay away from Lexington. What a nightmare. I’m sure the fact that he took a phenomenal player in Oweh, who was a guaranteed first round pick, and after two years he regressed so much that he won’t be drafted. I watched the Dooley and Butch years at Tennessee, but this is another level. Chin up, coal miners…if Pope’s track history tells us anything…at least you’ll have one more opportunity to get your hopes up to go all in on Momcilovic, offer him an insane NIL opportunity…for him to choose Florida. Yikes…

I’ve said it before, but the level of talent we are signing this year is crazy; but it is hard to believe that UK was doing this every year until fairly recently. Wish Cal hadn’t gotten lazy on you guys.
