I still like the guy.
2001-02 through 2004-05 seasons really were fun and it was nice to have with how turrible we were in football.
Hopefully he will stick around in some capacity.

I sent Stricklin an email yesterday telling him how I was 100% behind him because I knew he would do what he thought was best for the university. So I guess this is what he thinks is best for the university. I trust him.

As much as all of us wanted Stricklin to "show him the door," which he is essentially doing, you have to respect the way he has gone about this. I see this about like DS said, that he has given our university a lot. He's given us a competitive basketball program that has shown it can compete, but it needs direction. The foundation is in place. And if this retirement package works out, I could not have asked for a better resolution to this whole situation. Instead of simply "showing his *** the door," he has shown Rick compassion and respect while putting him in the best possible situation by giving him as much as we can.<div>
