Do y'all think the sun could've had an affect on our team saturday? Dark colors are hotter/ light cooler, and we did seem to play better after the half with the cloud cover. I mean People were passing out because of the heat .

If you are truly serious, I cannot help you.

As Coach Mullen says, there aren't any stupid questions, there are only stupid people who ask questions.

I think the heat could have had an effect... not going to comment on the jersey color.

I just wonder how often we've practiced outside during the heat of the day? Seems like I've seen more pictures of us practicing indoors than in previous years. I've always been an advocate of practicing as much as you can in the elements you'll be playing in. I have no idea what our practice schedules are, but I know playing middle of the afternoon in full sun, 90+ degrees is a lot different than being indoors or even outside at 9AM / 5PM.

It's not a dumb question. I always make it a point to wear white or light colors while playing golf in extremely hot weather. Light colors make the heat more bearable than dark colors. At any rate, white would be much preferable to me than those striped uniforms we wear.

I think the white stripe on the helmet created an unequal heating of their brains. Had there not been a stripe, will Redmond would've most likely batted the ball down and everyone would be more happy with a 47-20 win***

We should have worn all white and made UAB wear dark. It worked against Oregon**

Speaking of that **** show, was that Odell Bradley out there in coverage Saturday?

I don't think it's a dumb question at all. The field is hotter than the stands, and yes the dark jerseys make the players feel hotter. Dark colors soak up more heat than light colors. That's one of the pieces of advice from the NWS when there's a heat advisory or warning. Also, our players had the sun almost directly in their faces during the first half. I'm surprised players weren't passing out. And in the stands, we were dressed in cooler type clothing than football uniforms.

By that logic if me and you sit in a 17ing furnace and I wear a white shirt and you wear a black shirt, you'll burn faster. C'mon folks don't make excuses because of the heat. The players practice in maroon jerseys in the same damned heat. We just got out-coached in our defensive plan.

Saturday was by far the hottest MSU football game ever played and the hottest games were probably played in Amish coats compared to the Adizero stuff our players rock now. Give me a break. We looked like ****. Don't try to polish a turd.
