Do you think there will be a leak, or a statement the day before annoucing the new HC. I would love for them to realease a statement this afternoon or tomorrow for the PC Wed. I would hope Greg brings him down to Jackson like he did with Cohen.

Why dont we just try and start a rumor, and see if the rumor mills pick up on it, and also see if we can get another coach to come out and deny it. Who is a good target?

I think coming to Jackson is pretty much certain.

I think we will know a day or two before the press conf. that we have hired a coach. Who it is will either be leaked on the coaches end or figured out from putting 2 and 2 together. The leak will not come from GB or his staff.

I haven't seen anywhere that we've even interviewed anyone. Several schools are actively interviewing for their next coach and we seem to be just "making contact," or not, depending on whom you believe. WTF does that mean?

I don't see how anyone can be a "done deal," ready to be announced at any moment, without our first having obtained permission to speak to him from a school, then at least had an interview. I thought there was a "short list" we were working from.

Don't you just take your list, get permission, set up some interviews and make a decision? The only reason I can figure is that the people on the list are saying "no thanks." The other option is that we have made a decision and are just waiting for the right moment. But again, how could we have gotten permission and interviewed without everyone knowing about it? Isn't it public knowledge when an official request is made to talk to a school's coach? </p>
