Looks like a conceptual drawing of The Dude about halfway down the Wier/Boerner

site. Looks like possibly closing down the parking/street between the Hump and The Dude w/ the Juice Box in the background? Maybe not but its a start.

Gotcha, looked way small. The one I saw of that complex showed softball and tennis in the same view though, just a different view I guess.

That looks awesome. Sure wouldn't mind seeing a new baseball stadium designed along the same concepts.

The best architectural team in the history of college baseball. That much, I'm pretty much positive about.

Having Janet Marie on board puts it over the top -- especially since she's a grad and presumably understands what makes DNF unique and special. Populous is bigtime as well. We just accounted for probably 2/3 of current MLB parks right there...

Then, having MSU grads as primary helps us as well. I have 100% confidence in getting DNF done right with the announcement of the architecture team. Something I didn't even remotely have before.

Know Boerner pretty well and he will put everything into that project to make it awesome. It's in good hands.

The 2 foremost baseball stadium designers of our generation do not "put their names on stadiums just to have their names on it". Rest assured -- 99% of the leg work will be done by Boerner -- but Populous and JMS will have their say in the designs and will have aspects of their personalities in the design. Especially JMS. Neither "needs" Dudy Noble to bolster their resume. Quite the contrary actually.

What they are showing right now are very early concepts. They are far from a done deal. There are at least 2 different versions that are being shown on a "for your eyes only" basis right now...

My thoughts exactly.

Janet Smith and Populous aren't the type of people who just want to have their name on something for ***** and giggles- rest assured, if they are hired to do something and will have their name associated with the finished project, they WILL make sure it's done right. Their professional reputation is very valuable and is on the line every time they take a job, and JMS is absolutely not going to do anything to hurt her standing as the preeminent baseball architect in America.

Yes, Boerner is doing the majority of the "leg work," but JMS and Populous will give ideas and put their stamps on this as well. And I like the work Weir Boerner did with the tennis/softball design- I'm excited to see what they can bring to the baseball facility.
