He's no detractor. He's a fine young man that has finally "gotten it."<div>
</div><div>When asked of Stans's handling of the Ravern situation earlier this year, he wisely noted that looking back on it, it was "good coaching."</div><div>
</div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: rgb(44, 44, 44); font-family: Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px; line-height: 24px; ">"I thought the suspension was good, now that you look back on it," Augustus said. "It got him playing well and woke him up. It was a good coaching move now that you look back at it."</span>
<div>
</div><div>And really, that's what this is all about. Good coaching for 12 strong years. I love our basketball coach. And he's a damn good coach. He's loyal. He's a winner. And he's a Bulldog. I hope we are lucky enough to keep him for awhile.</div><div>
</div><div>Just an incredible job he's done this year pulling the guys together. When you look at it, he had to deal with three things that were beyond his control. First, the NCAA went Hitler style on Sidney. No call for it. Just like the way they treated Powe for Ole Miss. They wouldn't have had the balls to do that to a more high-power program. Far too harsh. Second, despite being killed with texts and calls from the staff, Bost had to go using that brain firepower of his and make the worst mistake of his life by screwing up his elgibility. Last, you got you team captain being a fool and picking a fight with your embattled youngster on national television and getting expelled from the team when you are already thin with bigs.</div><div>
</div><div>Even with all that, and Ravern's shenanigans to boot, what a beautiful turn to the season. Just utter chaos, and out of it all is forged a steely ballclub that looks like trouble in the SEC tourney. And man, if we can somehow pull it off, you don't want us in your bracket come NCAA time.</div><div>
</div><div>I love the detractors on here. This is what Dan Mullen meant when he asked: "Are you true maroon?" Some here are not. That's not to say you can't have an opinion on a coach that isn't favorable, but this is ridiculous. The ones on here who are against are club at all costs, just so you can be "right" on a message board, the last 3 games have been even more fun to watch, just thinking about you sitting there watching the Dags, pulling against em.</div><div>
</div><div>9-7 SEC mark in our most difficult season ever. Great job Stans. Keep it up.</div><div>
</div><div>For those interested, I've made a teeshirt...bout to wear it proudly. PM me if you're interested.</div><div>
