1. Tons of people there.
2. "The School Up North" is getting old fast.
3. Couldn't hear a damn thing
4. All uniforms look good - men's basketball is awesome, baseball is awesome.
5. Mullen can talk the talk
6. Tittydawgs return 7 players that started last year, signed the Florida player of the year and the top JUCO player in the nation. Should be pretty good.
7. There is a volleyball player that is about 6'5" and 17ing haught. She is in the words of Scott McKinney - Strrrrrrrrrrroooooooooonnnnnnnnnnngggggggg.

Seriously. Supermodel hot. Very rare to see a girl that tall that's that hot. Just damn.

BTW, Hunt was her name.

As he was explaining that there would be MSU players modeling the new Adidas uniforms in a "fashion show", he said something to the effect of, "and the first one is someone you won't mind looking at" or something like that.

He was doing a better job of not looking than I was though. She's hot.

While the Convention Center is most awesome, I miss the stadium seating of the Coliseum. It's not as easy to see the speakers at the Center than it is at the Coliseum.

Uniforms are indeed awesome.

Anthony Dixon looks skinny.

Byrne mentioned Stansbury was in West Virginia. Was that vacation or recruiting? If recruiting, I wonder who's there.

"The School Up North" looks like it's official Mullen-speak. Sigh.

That being said, I'm also willing to drink the kool-aid Mullen's selling.

Based on what Keenum and Byrne alluded to regarding their facilities tour, I'm wondering how much will MSU do facilities wise and what will it cover?

this by no means answers your question sorry. But I did notice that the machinery is starting to line up outside the Hump. Looks like they will be breaking ground very soon on the building site for the new basketball practice facility

Educational institutions tend to be even worse. So yes, I'm serious. He evidently made a statement regarding her physical appearance in order to appeal to the male audience. That could be troublesome. Not that I think it should be so, but in this day and time it could.

Get over it. He had no harmful intentions and I don't see anyone else scratching their head over his comment. (Which was just one of the many other comments he said that were appealing to the audience if I had to guess)</p>

I just made a comment based on my own experiences. Also, I don't give a crap about his intentions. Intentions don't really matter much at all.

Look, I seriously doubt anything will come of this. But if he ever says something similar regarding the "wrong" female athlete there could be repercussions. I'm not saying there should be, but in the world we live in right now there could be.

In fact, as I said earlier, if he did make the purported statement where I work, the HR manager would pay him a visit in short order.

Went by the hump on the way back home...and the equipment in the back of the hump, in the palmeiro parking lot... is not for the practice facility.
It's an asphalt truck, and a bunch of rollers, bulldozers (covered in blacktop), and sweepers. Evidently they are about to re-do one of the roads or parking lots.

She was up in front of about 3.200 people modeling clothes for Christ's sake. I certainly don't see how someone saying, "You won't mind looking at our first model" is insulting, degrading, or otherwise wrong. It was a compliment. If you work at a place where you have to tapdance around the obvious, my sympathies. If that is a problem for us good God-fearing, honest MSU fans, then God help this country because it's gonna hit the fan.

I sort of understand what he's saying.

No, it won't be a problem. It was a feel-good evening meeting where everyone there is a fan of the university (except VZ, of course, that rebel dirtbag). That's it, end of story. And I am reasonably confident that Byrne's mannerisms and speech in this setting was less formal than when if he were to be representing our University on a national or regional stage. And that will be, and should be, that.

And that's the point I think tcreb is missing. This, to me, was the corporate equivalent of a "company dinner". Yes, you're still representing your entity, and you keep a handle on things for the most part. But you also have enough drinks to keep conversation flowing and to loosen up, thus the point of the dinner. Part of loosening up may be acknowledging the fact that Debbie that is the project manager is pleasing to the eye. It is not "Yeah, and I totally schlutted her out last night".

No, I don't think (nor care, for that matter) that Byrne was drinking. But, I think he was more casual because of the setting. And, if this chick is as hot as is being claimed, it's not as though it was from totally out of nowhere.

This would not have been acceptable at the unveiling on campus which was basically a press conference. This was basically a BC meeting. Big difference, to me.

Where I sort of understand what tcreb is saying, that Byrne doesn't need to get into a habit of making those comments in public.

I'm also sure Byrne above all knows this.

She definitely wasn't the best I've ever had.

Well, maybe not her exactly, but a girl that looks a lot like her.

Except she was a brunette. And about 5'6". And add about 60 lbs. And her face is all different.

Either way, not anything to write home about, if you know what I mean.

I just saw the pic of new basketball unis on BDJ and agree that they look very good. Hopefully we can make some noise in those things.
