Just Checked the Purdue Board and There Are Some Salty Folks In Their Game Thread

Similar complaints about refs that we have (typical fan operating procedure), but what came through is that our collection of victories over them has made them detest us. I suppose that's to be expected, and perhaps they've honed their ability to dislike other teams on their experience with Indiana, but holy ****, even with the win they really don't like us. One dude said we "have ruined B1G basketball" with our aggressive style of defense. (I burst out laughing when I first read that, and still laugh at it.) I can't wait for Edey's elbows to make their way to the NBA, and when they do, we will hopefully continue to dominate them.

TL;DR: For some teams we've arrived.

I like HC Painter a lot, so I have no problem generally with Purdue even with the occasional hatred. It's comical watching fans (via game threads) when they're emotional. We do the same stuff, and have our share of douchebags, but we haven't accomplished enough for long enough to have cultivated a large, competitive contingent of dicks. I hope we remain marginally humble with other fan bases, but if they start coming for us we are absolutely gonna get into it with our own variation of saltiness. C'est la vie!

I’ve been going to the big ten tourneys since we joined and never had a problem with the Purdue fans but today they acted a lot Michigan and Indiana. Hope they beat OSU for us tomorrow and then a quick first or second round knockout in the ncaas

We did that, in addition to beating them every time they been #1, as well as other times. It’s been percolating.
