We did try out Devon Bell as holder in one game, maybe the UAB game
If it was in fact the UAB game where Bell was the holder, it was a complete failure as an experiment, and we went back to Dak holding, which he has been doing ever since. As for the kicking, Sobiesk has been solid from inside 40 yards. That 37 yard kick he made against Arkansas was HUGE, not just for the game but for his confidence. He had a pressure kick for the #1 team in the nation and he stepped up and nailed it. Just making the shorter kicks is a big improvement from last year, when we were sweating out kicks of any length. However, if it comes down to a field goal from 45 yards plus, we might be in trouble, because Sobiesk doesn't really have the leg for long kicks and Cooke looked terrible on his one attempt. Let's hope if it comes down to a field goal, it is a shorter one.
