I finally had to start over because I couldn't figure out how to bring my old account over, so this really isn't my first post.I meant to start this discussion last week, so please don't blast me for talking about the Bama game again.I went to the game in Tuscaloosa and here's one glaring thing I noticed. They have speakers that are completely AROUND the stadium, not just at one end like us. It had the most incredible sound I've heard at a stadium event. You could actually hear what was being said by the announcer and it completely motivated the crowd. Add to that, they pipe in crowd noise thru those speakers! When the game was over in the 3rd quarter, they have that stupid strength coach on their jumbotron telling the fans to get up and start screaming before a kickoff. You would have thought all 100K were standing up screaming, but it was being piped in. I don't know if anyone else noticed this, but I watched the crowd and everybody was sitting down, but the crowd noice coming thru those speakers was loud and intense. The crowd eventually stood up and started cheering, and then they cut it off right when they kicked off to us, similar to our "DON"T RING" slogan on our Jumbotron. Was very impressed with how they were able to make every Tide fan feel like they were screaming their heads off, when it was piped in. Also, they don't punish their fans with "Physics of the Game" when A & M took it to 21-0. At some point, our media department has to use their heads. Maybe just hold off on the ads, but I know that this has been discussed in great detail before. Also, I haven't seen this discussed, but did anyone notice that same Bama Strength coach doing his version of the "Dog Pound Rock" when the score was out of reach before Bama kicked off in the 3rd? I laughed my *** off at that. We deserved that 100%. I don't know about the rest of you, but I think it's time to retire the DPR. From the looks of it Saturday, half of the team doesn't even want to do it. Stop with the dancing and play football.
