That includes the evident inability to raise your pledge through the website after you have made it for the year. I made the usual pledge and then had to call and raise it. But I wondered after I called, how many didn't call to raise that pledge or just stayed at the same level and took a hit on seat level?

buy some away tickets with your season renewal at places you don't intend to go to and then sell them for profit. Buying tickets (or just extra tickets) to games at places like LSU, Bama, etc and then selling them on Stubhub type sites will usually net you a pretty nice profit to help subsidize your season ticket cost.

to stay in your current seats? My pledge amount updated automatically.

Last year I paid maybe $250 and had two seats in F which I think required a minimum of $100 / seat ($200 total). This year the minimum went up to $135 / seat and they automatically updated my pledge to $270. I didn't have to call or do anything online to make that happen.

but my bet is the most didn't think twice about it. It didn't bother me for several reasons. One being that I don't think they've raised prices in 4-5 years. If they have, it's been minimal. The second thing is that Greg has done a great job in communicating planned facility improvements so I have a nice feeling that my extra money is going right back into the campus, not someone's pockets. Last, the demand for football seating is outpacing supply for what may be the first period in the program's history. The risk of losing seats and not being able to easily get them back is finally a reality for a lot of people.

One can only assume that they will completely re-seat the stadium once the expansion is complete.

We've been in Section F for three seasons. In 2010, it was $50 per seat; in 2011, it was $100; and now it's $135. What section do you sit in? Have others really been holding steady?

I can guarantee that there are hundreds of instances where a donor that has given more from a lifetime standpoint and is giving more currently cannot get into the seats they want because the seat owners gave a couple thousand dollars back in 1975 and they've continued to give the minimum required amounts every year. Those are the current rules so it isn't their fault, but it's crap.

Also, I shouldn't complain about this because my grandmother gets two prime seats every year because of it, but there are WAY too many legacy seats out there for football.

We've bounced around a lot over the last 5 years from section to another so I probably just didn't notice the increases since I had been in different sections previous years.

It was only $35/seat increase, so no reason to balk about it and not pay. Not worth losing the tickets and going to the back of the waiting list. I'm glad that's a problem to have though.

And I didn't know it updated automatically. Reason being I'm donating to get in west side chairbacks but I haven't been able to get a set of tickets yet. Therefore I have been giving over my section amout to hopefully get my seats there this year. I just put in for 650 a seat in Jan and was stuck at that till I called.

The stadium should be reseated every year. The rules should be simple:

1. Seat priority is based on Bulldog Club points divided by seats requested.
2. Members can pool points and sit together if both request it. Priority based on total BC points / total seats requested.

I know for a fact this wasn't the case as late as Mullen's first year. I met a guy who sits in the seats next to the pressbox that isn't a memember of the BDCat allbut instead donates a gift to the coach (NOT the university) every year and gets BDC seats. If that's the case, why can'tI dontae money to the engineering department getBDC seats? I thought it was called BDC seating for a reason but maybe it should be called "BDC and other cigar boy seating".
