The guy looks like Jamarcus Russell. I know he's not shown much, but will little Carroll and Lee, take a look at what we'll face in Tech and maybe that could be an option. Carroll showed no mobility, and I think Lee, while he may be tough, is another Henig due to size. Just curious. </p>

but probably shows some "bad decision making" in practice. I doubt he "gets the system", but it doesn't appear that anyone else does either.

Too bad we don't have anyone that can make a system for him.

He's horrible. Worse than Tray Rutland. Mark my words, he will finish his career in the SWAC.

Steve McNair comes to mind. Rutland is starting at JSU last I heard. Don't dawg the SWAC. Jerry Rice and Walter also played there. Maybe if we tried to work with our athletes talents, like the Gunslinger, we may be able to break the NCAA 100 mark!

All I'm trying to see is some improvement. With all of this BS before the season started about visiting schools, we should be moving the ball, but it's the same old between the tackles running and 2 wideouts. UGGHHHH.

Back then, most SEC schools didn't have many black players (they'd only been integrated for a couple of years) and a lot of the best black players still went to the black schools. I think Payton played with something like 2 future NFL Hall of Famers (I know Robert Brazille and Jackie Slater for sure) and several other future NFL players. But the SWAC of today is pathetic. There's a reason they don't send their division winners to the I-AA playoffs. Too many embarassing 1st round defeats. As best as I can tell from a quick Google, the SWAC was 0-19 in I-AA playoff games before deciding to quit participating. And Jerry Rice's team got beat 66-19 in their only playoff game.

Croom is very open about the fact that he probably has the best tools on our team to play the QB position (great arm, mobile, etc...), but he is also open about the fact that he has terrible decision making... I can't judge from what little action i've seen him in. However, it looks like there'd have to be some package we could put him in and make us of him.

Actually, I think I read the other day that he's been replaced by some other guy... However I did notice tat he's 4th in the SWAC in passing efficiency.

Trae also has more INTs than TDs in 3 games at JSU. and he barely played this most recent game. he lost out on the starting job last season, and even though he got it this season, it looks like he is gonna once again lost it.

the SWAC is nothing even remotely close to how it was when Rice and Walter were there.

Croom had to run 42 at scout team QB to practice against the triple option. Where was Relf? I mean, if he's "big and mobile," you'd assume he could run the trip option and give our D a good look.

Maybe Croom didn't want his 3rd QB to get hurt just in case, I guess. But it seems to me that Relf's a bust. Ain't got much grey matter.
