Today Brad Locke posts this...

<span style="font-style: italic;" class="uiintentionalstorynames"><font face="Arial" size="4"><span style="font-size: 13.5pt; font-family: Arial;">Brad Locke</span></font></span> <span class="uistorymessage"><font face="Arial"><span style="font-family: Arial;"><span style="font-style: italic;">: Sports message boards are a complete waste of cyberspace and actually make society as a whole dumber. Just had to say that.</span>

This is coming from a guy who reads MBs to get his story ideas. And his UM counterpart sources MBs.

Nevermind .... For some reason, it doesn't bother me if he said it on Facebook. It's his opinion. He's entitled.

because they are normally scooped by them. Earlier this decade, a story would be old news before it hit the actual newspaper. Now, they are blogging more, and I am finding reading the Clarion Ledger pretty much worthless because it is a repeat of Kyle's blog from the day before.

Sixpack threatens his job security. There are at least 500 posters on this board that could write a better, more informed article than that numb nuts.

I ask again that you drop the DJ links and bring back the MSU athletic dept. site link. Seriously, Brad Locke is worse than useless (they don't call him 2HD for nothing) and there was occasionally something I might actually want to see on the MSU site (and I'm apparently too lazy to just go to that site every day for myself).

[I formulated my opinion of message boards after reading several message board postings where my abilities, or lack thereof, as a reporter have justly been called into question].
