Just For Kicks - Central Region 5 & 6

Just for kicks as I have done every season since the dissolution of the Central Region, I wanted to see what the playoffs would look like under the old format...

Here is what I came up with...

Division 6
#4 Thomas Dale at #1 Highland Springs
#3 Henrico at #2 Manchester

Division 5
#4 Varina at #1 Hermitage
#3 Monacan at #2 Dinwiddie

We all love the fact that so many teams from our region now have opportunities they did not have before but wow! What a playoff we would have with these teams.

Henrico and HSHS have half the enrollment of some of the NOVA 6A teams. No wonder it was so hard for richmond area schools to win the state championship under the old classification system.

I like the format. At least one of the stepchildren (Monacan and Dinwiddie) in Richmond football would have made it tonthe final. Lol. I would have loved to see a Manchester vs. Highland Springs matchup this season. Lets get all eight of these teams to forfiet tomorrow and just play these games out. If we played them at one site Friday and Saturday and the finals next week it would be sellouts for each game.
