It has nothing to do with the fact that some might consider it not a great job - 1.7-2M is a lot of money - but the reasons are valid and i can understand why he wouldn't accept. Sucks, b/c he would have been my first choice to replace Croom.

I've been really focused on that guy - I've heard that Leach wants to get back to the SEC - i think he would take the job if offered, and my friends, it would be an excellent pick!

He makes 900k where he is and he would not make a move to the SEC for a $1,000,000,000 more a year!! If he writes all those 0's down I think it would be hard for him to turn his nose up at that!!!!!!!

Opps got a little zero happy...lol. Should be 1,000,000 more a year!!

Probably correct. Even Cohen's faith (and he's a MSU alum) didn't bode well with some before he was hired.

this guy (Todd Graham) yet? Who wouldn't want at least the opportunity to be accused of running it up for once?
Since I don't think the Dread Pirate Leach would leave Tx. Tech, why the hell not throw some cash at this guy?

I have noticed about Ole Miss Grad's posts, he will throw just a small hint of downing State to stay under the radar. I would rather he just say he hates his wife because she went to State.

And let me say, I am sure there were "some" who didn't like the idea of a Jewish head coach.

Seems like the Todd Graham talk is becoming like the talk of Mark Hudspeth last year. I'm not saying either is or isn't a good coach, but damn Graham's name seems to be mentioned at least a couple times a day.

or any other alum for that matter. But I think our shot at most recruits in the Bible Belt would go to hell once momma and daddy find out he's a scientologist.

If I thought that wouldn't be a problem then Id say go after him.

That Graham is a successful D-IA HC with a successful offense. Neither of which can be said about Hudspeth. And it was mostly the one guy pumping Hudspeth, not a wide range of people like with Graham currently. I know I'd be damn glad if we hired him. But Hudspeth? Not so much.

If you say the Jewish religion began with the giving of the Mosaic Law, then it has been around approximately 3400 years. Scientology was created 50 years ago by a hack sci-fi writer to make money. I would have no problem sending my son to play for a Jewish coach. I would absolutely be against my son playing for a scientologist. Say what you want, but these scientologists seem to generally be nutcases.

I can't tell if somebody is a Jew, unless they tell me or they are wearing one of those little caps.

Hell I didn't know Ole Jack was one until a couple of years ago.

I see people all the time say something like, "see that Jewish guy over there?" And I'm looking around like "where?"
"How can you tell?"

And I don't try to be either. I don't care if someone is a Jew or not. I've never understood the harsh view peole hold toward the Jews. The way I see it they've had it pretty rough the past 1,900+ years.
