<span class="commentBody">I think among a lot of Bulldog fans there is a mentality that "just good enough" is enough for MSU. Several years ago Dr Fogelsang said this attitude was not going to improve Mississippi if we keep just allowing "good enough." He dumps Larry Templeton, gets a real AD in Greg Byrne, who gets Dan Mullen and tutors Scott Stricklin in how to build a winning program. Stans was the only holdover left from that. I'm sorry, but no competitive program should give any coach a blank check forever unless he is VERY successful. Stans was a great recruiter for Richard Williams and also as the head man, but when his coaching chops can't keep up with that, it is time for a change. After all, even Dean Smith left at North Carolinaeventually... and Stans is no Dean Smith...</span>
