picked LSU over us...said Bears were never in it- just kept them going to keep them off his back<div>
</div><div>We'll see- Liggins has told a different story to every group he has talked too- but this one should be as legit as any..he's the one that told me it was State or LSU a few weeks ago...may get interesting on the Square tonight</div>

Bulldogs, or tigers, or bears oh my. This is why folks shouldn't worry about recruiting until after signing day. It's like Forest Gump's damn box of chocolates.

didn't see that one coming. I've heard it from three different sources.

One told me that Liggins main issue at ole miss is - get this - they've got six QB's already. Homer Simpson say DOH.

he wont play a down of QB at LSU- but may end up an All-SEC DE before it's over

At LSU, he will be forced to play the position that will make him the most money. Defensive Line. And he might win a championship. Don't blame him one bit. And hopefully we'll get Nick, who will end up being a much better quarterback, IMO. Notice that I said "IMO." I am happy. Nick's footwork is already better than Relf's and he has a few years to get ready. I will take it. I wanted Liggins just like everyone else, but at the end of the day, he was a projectpasser like Relf. What most people don't seem to realize on here is that Prescott is a better passer and runner than Liggins,soI hope nobody worries about this too much. If all this is true, good luck to Jeremy. I hope he represents Mississippi well.

Choose ole miss? It's the home team, but it's a dumpster fire, six wins in two seasons. They have six other QB's.

Choose state? Program doing well, fits the coaches offensive style, only two other QB's. Make this choice, crosses burning in his front yard, family harassed, livlihood threatened.

Choose LSU? You avoid the dumpster fire, burning crosses and the family harassment. I know that sounds odd since this is their REAL rival **

If Liggins goes to LSU it will not be to play QB. If the young man really wants a shot at QB we are the only choice. I am not sure he will be a QB anywhere.

3 of those in the FR class just in front of him. I think its pretty obvious that MSU would be his best chance to play and stay at QB but LSU at least will initially sign him as a QB and he will get much less blow back on him and his family from the local Bears over him going to LSU than he would get if he went to MSU. "Real rival" or not there is no doubt that OM fans have much more bad blood right now with Mullen and MSU than they do with LSU.

but after a year or two when he sees he isn't ever playing he will transfer to Northeast or the SWAC

Out of the 6 qb's UM has on roster, are any of them considered to be a better prospect than Liggins? And even if there is somebody that is better than him, they could still have a make-shift o-line that makes a 270 lb mobile qb pretty attractive.

I can remember when we were recruiting Brunetti (one of UM's many QBs) that we thought he was going to be a big time pickup as well and he hasn't turned out that way. Secondly when Prescott is the ONLY QB in front of you, even if he turns out to be a great one, that means you are still always just one play away from becoming a starter. At LSU Liggins will have many more athletic QBs to pass up just to get to the backup role. We better pray that this coming season our 2 QBs remain relatively healthy because no way is Schuessler ready for the SEC. Liggins likely wouldn't be either but as big and physical as he is he would be much more able to do it than Schuessler. I'm hoping Balis can pack about 30 pounds onto Schuessler's frame in the next couple of years otherwise he will get broken in half playing in our offense. I've never seen Mullen run an offense that he doesn't use the QB to run at some of the time. He is currently listed at 6'4 190 pounds.

Brunetti will be a much better qb this year. He will be back in a real spread offense.

that pretty much all agreed that he was overrated. And Lars, he won't be much better next year. There's no coaching in the world that can do anything about that arm. I don't think he'll completely suck, but his ceiling is fairly low.
