From the game. We beat a fringe top 25 power 5 opponent by two touchdowns. We led from the opening kick and controlled it for most of the game. Then I get on here and there are actually people bitching about it.

We have a segment of our fanbase that is remarkably entitled. This was a game where many (including me) picked us to lose, and now those same people are pissed that we didn’t win by more? Do you guys think we should just be able to show up and blow out a team like NC State, and anything less is a disappointment?

I get that we need to play better offensively. Rogers left some plays out there that could have blown it open early. We dropped some balls and other times guys were open and we didn’t get it to them. But this was a huge win for our team. Try to enjoy life a little bit.

I'm saying...lol. Sometimes I choose not to read all this negativity. Im happy we won. The D was awesome. Offense is still improving. We have a few playmakers. State has been winning with defense for the most part ever since I have been watching them. Great win. Now we got back to back Tigers to tame

I think we need to just accept that right now their offense is better than ours. Their D is nowhere near as good as ours and this offense will improve. Corral is more experienced. We almost got them last year. Maybe we will be rolling by Thanksgiving.

Right now? Their offense has been better than ours for about 90% of the 30 years I’ve followed MSU football. And it will continue to be the case long after both current coaches move on. That’s just what they do….place a heavy recruiting emphasis on WR’s and QB’s and the flashy glamour players. We focus more on the elite DL / LB and occasionally land a stud OL or two. That’s why they land guys like AJ Brown, Matt Corral, and Shea Patterson and we land guys like Jeffrey Simmons, Chris Jones, Emmanuel Forbes, etc. Our approach has beaten theirs more than theirs has ours.

I think a lot of people mistook Leach for being some basketball on grass coach that was accustomed to winning a bunch of 55-50 type games in the Big 12 and PAC 12. His defenses have always been way better than he has been given credit for, given the talent limitations he’s faced in Lubbock and Pullman. In that sense, he is a fit with what we want to do around here….and you can clearly see he knows how to find talent to run that side of the ball.

Keep the culture, keep the defense strong, and be good enough on offense to make the timely plays when they are needed….but don’t expect to ever average 500 yards a game. That’s been the MSU formula for as long as I’ve been alive.

Most of them bitching, calling Leach a moron, Rogers a terrible noodle armed quarterback, etc. Then we score at the end of the first half and go on to dominate the rest of the game and lo and behold, fewer than 20 posts in the game thread in the second half. Some just can’t admit that tonight was a great win against a pretty good Power 5 opponent.

This same thinking infects our political discourse. Many people are just angry and take it out on anyone that has a reasonable disagreement. We have so much to be grateful for in America. Yet, many of us act as entitled children and as if we’re suffering Politcal oppression.

There was plenty to ***** about in the first quarter. After that we did a pretty decent job. I do feel a lot better than I did last weekend. Defense was on fire compared to the first game.

You’re so right about this. If you watched the SEC final score show, they couldn’t get through our segment fast enough. As a matter of fact, after the highlights, instead of breaking down our game like they did every other one (including the cupcake games) they decided to talk about the strength of all the different conferences and their results so far. On the SEC Network discussing the final scores of SEC games!
