I went to go look up schedules to see what teams in the SEC were doing and what those teams were doing. It's way early, so RPI means nothing, but Richmond had a high early RPI, and I think they only have one loss. They are not an awful team.
There is no way we should have lost that game. We should have at least gotten to the free throw line at the end of the game, instead we took a bad shot.
But I think your point is, and I agree, we could dissect who beat who beat who all night. It doesn't change the fact that we are 4-2 against pretty terrible competition.
No one else on our schedule. The sports gods may have a sense of humor and let us lose to Wright State and Arkansas, but we'll draw Rhode Island or Robert Morris in a 3-14 game in the NCAAs.
I am not even optimistic about us even making the NCAA tournament. If we even want to entertain the thought of making the NCAAs we need to run the table until SEC play starts but I just don't see it happening. There is something wrong with this team. Stansbury does not seem to be coaching much during the games and looks almost defeated already.
