...the majority of bowl projections seem to think MSU will meet Houston in the Liberty Bowl.

The next best popular MSU bowl projection is meeting Miami in the Music City Bowl.

I guess this is just another downside to going 6-6:

You either play in a bowl where you will be a 15 point underdog to a CUSA team, or your "other, best scenario" is playing Miami where you'll be a mere 7 point underdog.

Houston to win out and make a BCS bowl. I'd rather play USM in the Liberty than Houston (but still much rather play Miami in Nashville).<div>
</div><div>I know about the 'SEC school doesn't have to play their in-state school in the Liberty' clause (if it's still active), but I swear I've read that the SEC school gets to say no and force the CUSA school to look elsewhere. It would be funny if State were to say no to playing USM in the Liberty and USM was left out of the bowls completely. Of course, at least this year, that is less likely as USM is winning enough to be ranked, but it would be funny if it did ever happen.</div>

I don't think their defense can shut down our offense.Ballard would have 150 plus yards on them. You might disagree but Houston has not played the schedule we have. Heck in the East Southern is the only team with more then four wins and in the west Houston, SMUand Tulsa are the only three with more then four wins. Out of 12teams only four have more then four wins after nine games. That conference sux and I don't care how you say it. Theirfour best teams would be six win team at best in the SEC. You think Houston is a definite lose to us then you don't understand football. I think our offense rolls over their defense. Just my opinion and I am sticking with it.

..our defensive secondary philosophy is to play 5 yds off WR's & hope they drop passes. (Just one reason Arkansas is going to kill us). There is not a lock down man coverage guy in our whole defensive secondary.

I am not worried about MSU scoring on Houston; I am worried about the Houston QB picking apart our crappy secondary.

I guess it would make for good TV, because it would be a shootout.

But Houston's offense is built for shootouts.

...MSU was a bowl lock by this time last year. Plus MSU was actually worth a **** last year, so MSU was in charge was of their own bowl destiny after 9 games played.

Your nutcase butt should be happy these bowl projections are even including MSU in the conversation at this juncture.
