and a great big thank you for providing the website! living as i do in colorado, the first thing i do in the morning is check the ever changing weather, then the financials, then spend about an hour looking at everything on the sixpack. i would hate to think of life with you! thanks again!

what happened on the lake.....and how you started it, and where it is now....maybe its ghey, but I always like hearing the story...
I remember that piss drunk conversation with some random guy at some RV at Talladega about 5 years ago.....I had just been banned on the lake for the 3rd time, and this guy was about the only other state fan there....asked me if I had ever heard of this board, and how I ever remembered it, ill never know...

when Squint, QuitBeggin, CuzDawg, Crackerdog and I think maybe Extremedog ate lunch at George Street. Squint said - I will post on the lake that the best we can be in 2002 is 6-6 and I will get reamed. I was working in Vicksburg at the time and they emailed me what was said at lunch. And sure enough, squint was called closet rebel and everything else. So we ended up all agreeing with Squint and thus us 6 were termed the "Six Pack". Heydog and dawgman13 and few others ended up getting put in the group. A lot of us got banned a few times during that football season with my favorite being saying we had a new fight song and clown music would automatically play when clicking on the post.
Then in the Spring of 2003, we would email each other (it was about 10 of us in the emails ) and one day - heydog came home to 100+ emails. Heydog complained about the # of emails and so I suggested starting a message board. Since I was the only one with any type of IT knowledge, I set it up and we invited a few people and I (8679305 - yea Jenny's number is wrong) started posting on Genespage "IT'S COMING". Gene eventually found out what "IT" was and banned a lot of us and started banning posters who posted here. So "IT" turned into a story about an engagement between Jake and his girlfriend Sam. A few weeks after that, Jake (8679305) was going to announce the engagement was over due to Sam's lesbian infidelity but 8679305 was banned before the announcement could take place.
Never in a million years did I imagine what it is today. Like I always say, it's hilarious to me what started as a joke has turned into this.
