Yea back in 1998. Pretty much been a varsity coach for 28 years
He’s being a jackazz & condescending.

Those programs aren’t what they were during your time in the area. Matoaca and Monacan probably has the best portfolio of success in the past 10 years. Henrico had a great run of being a basketball power in the 2010s but that’s kind of shifted to Varina on that end of the county. George Wythe and John Marshall has been strictly basketball success, though Wythe hasn’t had a good team in a few years. Hopefully Wythe will be able to turn it around with Jesse Pellot Rosa taking over that storied program.

all of them could use a good coach with the ability to put together a good staff (with the exception of Matoaca),. The last two are urban schools w/o a lot of money. JM is tiny (Class 2), RHSA is class 4 but is 50% Latino so football population is also tiny.
1st four are Class 5 in suburban areas of Henrico County (Henrico, Tucker, Freeman. Deep Run).
Next three are in nice ($$$) areas of Chesterfield County (Monacan, Clover Hill, Cosby),
Matoaca used to be tiny but has grown a great deal to be Class 5. Matoaca has more of a small town feel than suburban.

Welcome back and welcome to the VA boards. Great people over here. What part of Carolina where you at/school you coached at there or followed?
I was the Head coach at Parkland in Winston Salem and the Head coach At Rolesville in Raleigh. Most of my coaching was pretty much in the Triad area (Winston Salem/Greensboro) with the last stop out east in Raleigh

I was thinking you used to be the head man at rolesville most recently but, wasn't completely sure. You really got that program rolling in the right direction while also dethroning coach Lucas and wake forest's dominance. Hard to believe those to schools used to be just one not that long ago.

That Raleigh Area is booming. Something like 25 high schools in Wake County(Raleigh) and expect 4-5 more in the next 10 years. The Rolesville job was actually pretty easy to fix. They had talent and I had an incredible coaching staff so that was not as difficult to turn around. Now the Parkland Job in Winston Salem that took some time. And again the coaches that were on that staff(Parkland) worked so hard to take it from where it was to where we left it I have to give them a ton of the credit.
