the MU kicker drafted by the Patriots has caused controversy already.......something about an arm tattoo that some say represents a right wing militia group. He has denied it
yes.....but a couple of our idiot kickers made all proJust add this clown to the list. West Virginia schools own the draft when it comes to "idiot kickers." Rock head Sauerbrun got popped for steroids...a punter...LOLZ...Vanderjerk got drunk and basically called Peyton Manning and Tony Dungy, who later won a Super Bowl together, gutless losers...Patty McAfee, who choked in the biggest college game of his life, got liquored up and swam in a channel that runs through Indianapolis...

an interesting side note....Sauerbrun signed as a place kicker and Vanderjagt as a punter and nehlen switched themJust add this clown to the list. A$$hole Vanderjerk strolled into Dallas proclaiming himself as the best teammate imaginable, then proceeded to shank more kicks than you do tee shots, and got kicked to the curb before the season had ended. He went from being All-Pro to Bill Parcells' punching bag.yes.....but a couple of our idiot kickers made all pro
how many tosu kickers have made all pro...drunk or not?A$$hole Vanderjerk strolled into Dallas proclaiming himself as the best teammate imaginable, then proceeded to shank more kicks than you do tee shots, and got kicked to the curb before the season had ended. Nugent kicked a 53 yarder to beat the Herd in Columbus...broke my heart but it never should have come to that! He had a nice NFL career.how many tosu kickers have made all pro...drunk or not?
I was shocked Rohrwasser got drafted!the MU kicker drafted by the Patriots has caused controversy already.......something about an arm tattoo that some say represents a right wing militia group. He has denied it
hey...all they've got to do is point him in the right direction.....even herd kickers should be able to do that....unless it's against WVUI was shocked Rohrwasser got drafted!
It was 55 yards, IIRC. I was there. Justin Zwick had a great first half, but Pruett figured out how to stop Ohio State's vertical passing game in the second half. Zwick was a highly rated QB, but wasn't one-half of the player that Troy Smith, an eventual Heisman Trophy winner, was in college. I may be wrong, but I think that Smith had been suspended for the first couple of games of that season, and that's why he didn't play against Marshall.Nugent kicked a 53 yarder to beat the Herd in Columbus...broke my heart but it never should have come to that! Kickers??? LMAO. WR Michael Thomas, RB Zeke Elliott and DEs Joey and Nick Bosa are current pro bowlers, and this is just off of the top of my head. How many ex-WVU players played in last year's pro bowl?how many tosu kickers have made all pro...drunk or not?
I 'm sure Troy played snaps in that game. OSU should have given the game ball to our kicker Ian O'Connor. He missed a chip shot from the 14 yard line to give us a 3 point lead with about 4 minutes to play. After the Bucks took over, we three and outed them, they punted us back to our 40 yard line. OSU three and outed us with about a minute to play and it looked like overtime but Ian again stood tall, got off a 12 yard punt and OSU kicks a 55 yard FG at the buzzer to deny the Herd the biggest win in in school history! It was 55 yards, IIRC. I never blamed the kicker for that loss although he did not cover himself in glory...others were culpable!hey...all they've got to do is point him in the right direction.....even herd kickers should be able to do that....unless it's against WVU![]()
the goal line fumble didn't help much eitherI never blamed the kicker for that loss although he did not cover himself in glory...others were culpable!
I put that more on Doc than the ball carrier ( Troy Martinez)! You can't put in a Frosh who hadn't played in the entire game in that situation. Hell, why even had the ball off to anyone just run three QB sneaks, chew up the waning minutes and get out of there with a win. Not a Knute Rockne moment!the goal line fumble didn't help much either
yep...that night the herd was" docified"I put that more on Doc than the ball carrier ( Troy Martinez)! You can't put in a Frosh who hadn't played in the entire game in that situation. Good Gawd, Tony, you seem to remember this game from 16 years ago like it happened yesterday...let it go, son. The only two plays that stick out to me are the Nugent 55-yard game winner and Marshall's DE (his name was "Goddard," maybe?) literally stealing the ball out of an Ohio State's player's hands and racing down the field for a touchdown. If it weren't for that freak play, then the game would not have been as close. Give Pruett credit for keeping it close, though. Didn't Ohio State subsequently curb stomp Marshall in 2010? By the way, I still haven't watched Ohio State's last romp over Marshall in basketball when Thad Matta was still the Buckeyes' coach, but it's on my DVR. I'll jog your memory about it once I've seen it.I 'm sure Troy played snaps in that game. OSU should have given the game ball to our kicker Ian O'Connor. That game sent me to therapy, tOSU! If you'll remember MU had an 80 play drive in the 2nd quarter that ended on 4th down from the goal line as we tried to fool the Bucks with a short fake FG attempt that blew up in our faces.Look at the stat's of that game I think you'll see it was as close as the score. But you're correct about the last time we invaded Ohio Stadium, we fumbled the opening kickoff and it went downhill from there, hahahahahahahaha. Our last visit to Value City was also a pure rout. But that football loss is personally more painful than the WVU game we gave away...would have gotten national recognition.Good Gawd, Tony, you seem to remember this game from 16 years ago like it happened yesterday...let it go, son. Took me a while to get over it...but all is forgiven!yep...that night the herd was" docified"
Well , one is national in scope, while the other more a hillbilly thing! I've had many discussions with fraternity brothers on which was more painful and the slight edge goes to WVU ,as we have much more reason to resent those phonies than OSU! But beating OSU would have been on the front page of every sports page in the country, beating WVU would not have had that impact!Hey, Tony, don't let Sled know that Marshall's close loss to Ohio State was more painful than its close loss to WVU, as he might lose his mind and not make it to his 70th birthday.
I lost my mind years ago.....and I plan on living to be 100 and spending my kid's inheritance thank you very muchHey, Tony, don't let Sled know that Marshall's close loss to Ohio State was more painful than its close loss to WVU, as he might lose his mind and not make it to his 70th birthday.
Hell bro, nothing to spend it on now!I lost my mind years ago.....and I plan on living to be 100 and spending my kid's inheritance thank you very much
............beating OSU would have been on the front page of every sports page in the country, beating WVU would not have had that impact!
Beating the opponent as opposed to just simply playing! However, The WVU game we pissed away was on National TV on a Friday night and was a long drive home. Now that's a different tune from what we used to hear from the Herdiots who claimed that WVU and Marshall playing would have national attention. Good that you're finally seeing the light Tony.
