Just realized that Spurrier won COY. Agree or disagree?

Being a homer, I strongly disagree. I like Spurrier but the East sucked and he totally blew that game with UK. I thought it was a two horse race with Mullen and Chizik.</p>

Everybody else is just as pissed at Auburn as we are, whether they're saying that publicly or not.

I hope they're pissed at Slive as well. Example, Fairley is a stud but he should have been held out against BAMA for those cheap hits against Georgia. Our guy took a cheap hit at UAB and sat an entire game. Slive's ruling are not fair. He favors one team but another team (georgia) gets screwed over.

...Spurrier deserved it over Chizik. All Chizik had to do was tell Cam to play. Without Cam, he'd have been lucky to win 7 games this season.<div>
</div><div>As for Spurrier over Mullen, I think Mullen would have won it if we had won either the Auburn game or the Arkie game. I'm notbegrudgingSpurrier winning the COY.</div>

AP gave it to Stans, coaches said no. I wondered if it was due to:

1. No or little respect for Stans

2. Protest over lawrence Robertsgetting to come toState

3. Coach 34 handling the vote

or a combination of some or all of the above.

exactly what the coaches are thinking. Mullen and Spurrier both had good years essentially for the same reason - wins over Florida and Georgia. Spurrier beat Alabama, so that gives him the edge over Mullen, even if they did lay a turd against UK.

I guess the fact that the coaches didn't vote for Chizik could mean that they think it's all Malzahn's doing anyway, but 13-0 is 13-0. They weren't pissed enough at Newton himself to not vote him offensive PotY, though.

Other coaches were pissed we were able to get LR.

A little childish I agree, but we are talking about millionaires here.

Spurrier also had Stephen Garcia, Marcus Lattimore, and played in the East with one top 25 team (his own). Meanwhile, Mullen had Chris Relf ,Vick Ballard, and played in the West withfive top 25 teams.
I am not begrudging Spurrier but really his team did not do much more than they normally do. The rest of his division was way down which made a 9-3 recordable to win the division.

the other coaches were a little pissed about our recruiting methods the last couple of years and then the NCAA making LR immediately eligible.
