It’s hard to beat all other major news carriers on a non sports topic so Trent Lott is my number 1.I feel like the Joe Moorhead hiring topped all of that, since it made its way to the Board via a random Uber driver and a stripper both of whom I presume had no connection to the University.
I've always assumed the stripper thing was a joke and that the poster got the inside info from a bigwig booster or AD higher-up (or is one himself).I feel like the Joe Moorhead hiring topped all of that, since it made its way to the Board via a random Uber driver and a stripper both of whom I presume had no connection to the University.
Probably so but national media ran with it.I've always assumed the stripper thing was a joke and that the poster got the inside info from a bigwig booster or AD higher-up (or is one himself).
Kind of like a kid and Santa Clause, I chose to believe in magic......I've always assumed the stripper thing was a joke and that the poster got the inside info from a bigwig booster or AD higher-up (or is one himself).
I don't understand this opinion. This was the first time ever we actually had some real help from marketing folks that knew what they were doing, rather than Lonnie T just taking the cheap way out. And all these logos were synonymous with our most successful athletic decade ever.Amazing how many bad logos came out of that entire thing. The banner wordmark, the cowbell through the circle, the bully head. What a disaster the whole thing was.
Yeah, this is the winner. It’s hard to beat all other major news carriers on a non sports topic so Trent Lott is my number 1.
I wasn't posting then, but I was an avid reader. I remember seeing the thread thinking it was BS, and then it all came out.The Trent Lott one was wild. I was texting people that would be in the know and they had no clue.
Two of the images show up on my phone, but not the desktop. Safari on both.Sorry it took so long. I don't know many details. I do know that the logo is not being changed for aesthetic reasons, but because the old logo causes too many problems when printing/monogramming; not sure how that works, but that is what I've heard.

Try it now. I think I edited it a few minutes after you posted. Two of the images show up on my phone, but not the desktop. Safari on both.
I'm getting the little blue question mark a lot on both, particularly in the meme thread. Usually doesn't matter what device or browser, though Firefox will show a text description of the image at least some of the time.
